Having not known anything about microphones prior to this order, I did A LOT of research and finally decided on the 2050 model and unbeknownst to me, it was exactly what my boyfriend wanted. I use this microphone to record mainly r&b/pop and hip-hop vocals. I also use it to record vocal elements on music cues for tv/film. For this price point, I'm not sure you can find a better microphone!
