These ATH R70x headphones sound amazing. They are extremely lightweight and comfortable. That I can tell, no frequency is exaggerated, just smooth and well balanced. You can count on long listening sessions with fatigue or discomfort. I didn't buy these for mixing or recording. I just wanted a good set of headphones for enjoying music. These deliver.

I have tried several open back headphones over the last few years. These are very comfortable. Especially during long sessions. Sound quality is amazing. When I remove them to listen on my Yamaha HS5/8 my mix matches perfectly cant tell the difference. Love that.

I am a professional songwriter and mixes are crucial to my workflow and outcome of my songs. These headphones allow you to hear the true sound of what your mixes sound like. They wear on my head perfect. They are so comfortable and feel as though they are simply floated over my head. When it comes to a professional mix down and for the price, these are the headphones to get!

These open-back headphones are the truth! They almost replicate what you will hear on most systems. As with any headphones or monitor, you must learn them and adapt them to your mix. The stereo placement is really heard with these!

The best headphones I have ever bought. You know that feeling when you get gear you want to be so careful because it’s THAT good. You put it in your “keep for 10-20 years” category. This is that. When I travel and can’t bring my HS8s all over the country I truly trust these to mix and master and I’ve never had that in headphones. I think I bought the last pair on the site for now and I hope they restock because these should be in every single artist and engineer’s studio and collection. I love it and I’m hardly enthusiastic on a regular basis. Inseparable. I even named my pair. I literally named this inanimate object. and . She. Deserves. It.

The ATH-R70X headphones are my newest addition to my collection of reference equipment. They offer an amazing frequency response (5Hz-40kHz) which rivals headphones such as the Beyerdynamic DT1990 which are significantly more expensive. The amount of detail these headphones provide will allow you to find subtle sounds in your mix (such as reverb tails) that you may not have been able to hear with studio monitors, which leads to a cleaner final mix. I have given these to colleagues who are not able to have a full monitor setup due to their living situation to test out and they were very impressed by the performance of these headphones and the final outcome of their mixes. They will definitely be a staple in your mixing process once you hear them.

I can’t believe these things ... unbelievably clear, it feels like I’m in outer space in the voice and everything floats to me from thin air. It’s such a large empty soundscape that fills quickly with clean, crisp sounds. The signal is so incredibly flat that you will be hearing everything in such a way that will give your mixes new life and breath in your true creative potential. Open ear make it so I don’t feel any heat on my ear after hours of tracking and I forget they’re even on sometimes and think I’m listening to my powered speakers lol! Definitely the best headphones I’ve ever had or purchased for mixing and I also have the 50x and the Bluetooth by AUdio technica. Can say first hand these are a great product and worth the money ??, 5 stars
