Product Rating Product Review I ordered the Hercules impulse 300 had a problem with it the tech recommended this and I am overly impressed. I love the large size and ease of control. The metal construction gives it a better feel. For the price I definitely recommend this to anyone in the djing business!!!

Your general opinion of this product. Right out of the package the size of the entire controller was a welcomed sight. The first thing I noticed were the large 6" platters. Behringer had taken the time to design this thing right. Layout was also a huge pro. All the controls are where they would normally be on a controller. It didn't seem like they were reinventing the wheel. The cmd 4a seems like it is well made. But that is just speculation. Im by no means an engineer but i will say it doesnt seem flimsy or easily breakable. The weight of the unit speaks quality. Although this is a recently released controller it is hard to say whether or not it will hold up to mobile DJ conditions. The one thing I will note is the 3 year waaranty it comes with. And the fact that AMS tacks on another year of warranty. That's one of the main reason I chose this over the Traitor S4 controller. There is a bit of a transition going from Technics + mixer to a more compact controller with a lot more options. The cmd 4a is pretty easy to use regardless of background. I will say setup took a little longer but I probably should've read the manual best features? Everything is at your finger tips. Love the browse dial and looping controls. Large platters are a huge plus. Long pitch faders are great too. There is only one I would want added. A power switch. A minor/major oversight depending on who you talk to. Fine. Can't complain. It makes noise value is the best factor. Its inexpensive and not just cheap. Time will tell but for now I still can't believe this controller is produced @ this price.

Your general opinion of this product. This is a decent built controller with a lot of features but the Deckadance software is lacking and the mapping to the jog wheels is poor and very laggy. Don't try to scratch on this you'll find out quickly the software in it's current state can't handle it. It is well made and I'm sure it's dependable it has a three year warranty This is good for deejays starting out if you worked on Numark, Pioneer, Denon you'll feel the CMD is a step back with included software. If someone midi maps this to a better know software I would use this on a nightly basis. Right now I'll stick to my Numark V7's and wait and see if they upgrade the software with better integration to the jog wheels. The main thing I would change is the Deckadance software it really needs something like Serato DJ or Virtual DJ with tighter midi mapping. "I would do it but as the saying goes ain't nobody got time for that" The sound is good You get a lot more then what you paid for a beginner good value for an experienced deejay the software will feel like a step back and if you scratch this isn't the controller for you.
