Product Review This synth is amazing. It is not complex to use in with the menus it does have. The possibilities are seemingly endless for personal sound design. While it does have a fan you can dial it down or off in the menu. It is simply there so this synth does not overheat. Similar to laptops having a fan. This does not take away from the actual synth at all. The layout is intuitive as are the menus. Every month you should calibrate the entire synth. It takes 30 mins but ensures smooth preforming of the synth engine. Also you will have to periodically update the firmware for this synth. If you have a iPad getting the free Behringer Deep Mind Editor will allow you to edit the synth via USB. You can also directly access a firmware upgrade while connected to your synth with this app. It is a great synth. It's major drawback is the sheer weight of this synth. It weighs about 30 pounds and such is not at all portable.

Product Review I am totally in love with this synth! Granted, every piece of gear has its shortcomings, this thing is a beast and it's incredibly difficult to make it sound bad. Even the presets are great. I usually hate the presets on any synthesizer! Editing and saving your own sounds is a breeze. The sounds are fat and full of analog goodness. It's now the last synth I would consider getting rid of. Which is saying a lot, with the turnover rate in my studio.

Product Review This synth sounds amazing and is very pleasing to mess around with . It does make a little bit of noise while it’s on like I’ve read in other reviews but who cares? I’m not meditating with my synth, I’m making Music with it! Great product !

Product Review Although there are some things to like about this board, I can't recommend it. And will probably return it. First, the sounds: Yes, there are many "interesting" sounds, which may be quite useful for sound effects, incidental music, etc. But out of more than 1,000 sounds, there are only a handful that are "musical" or sounds that I can place in the context of "songs." That's not much of a recommendation. Thankfully, the editing possibilities are extensive, making for at least the Possibility of creating good sounds. Then there's the unit itself. I'm surprised no one has mentioned that it has a NOISY FAN! Maybe Behringer fell asleep in the 1990s. We don't have noisy fans anymore, certainly not in music gear that requires us to listen to the SOUNDS. What were they thinking? This alone is a deal-breaker for me. I'm surrounded by keyboards, and the only one I hear growling at me is this thing. It's gotta go.

Product Review I like what I am hearing thus far. Just received this puppy last week. I'm loving the effects. The mod matrix is very intuitive. The iPad app makes sound design and editing patches that much easier. Only complaint thus far is that C2 key seems to sticky at times.
