Appears to be very well constructed. Has all the features I would want. I'd like to see the output be XLR instead of 1/4", but I just a direct box to get it into the PA. 5-band EQ is great, FX are a bonus but I don't really use them. XLR input is great. Totally simple to use and self-explanatory. Well, it's not terrible. The bass is decent for a 10" speaker. The highs are reasonable but certainly not as crisp as if it had a separate tweeter... N/A Great value for the money!

Great until it stopped working!

Everything worked well and reliably for 8 months. But one day it just quit. The power circuits seem to be working, but the speaker started cutting in and out over a 5 minute period and then quit altogether. Features I like: this is a small mixer with effects which is perfect for solo performance--guitar, mic, i-pod. The line out lets me send signal to a main amp and PA system. It's pretty simple. Sound is decent. It seemed like a great value until it stopped working.

Perfect PA For The Money

My K450FX arrived last week, and after giving it a thorough "exam", I must say that I was quite impressed with the overall quality of the unit. The "fit and finish" were perfect, and the materials seemed to be of high level and more than I could ask for in such a reasonably priced amp. I love the compact size and weight of the unit, along with the idea that everything is self-contained, which will make it a joy to use at my next small gig. I also love the multiple, individually controllable channels, the CD input jacks, and the built-in effects. I've just used the K450FX at home for rehearsing, and consequently haven't "cranked it" yet, so I can't comment upon the sound at higher volumes. However, I had the Master Volume at "3", and found it plenty loud for my "one-man" practice. The few mini-shows I play each year are in rooms with 50-75 people, and I'm quite sure this amp will handle that without a hitch. As far as the channels, I ran a mic into the first one, fiddled around with the various reverb, delay, and multi-effects programs until I found a number of them which will serve me well. Many of the effects programs sound very good, while others are merely okay. But as I play guitar through a VOX Tonelab, which I had ordered from AMS last year, I have no need for effects other than for vocals, and the K450FX seems to fit the bill quite well for me. The Graphic Equalizer works well too, and the sound is easily shaped with it. Your general opinion of this product. The K450FX is the perfect PA "system" for me. The features, the sound, plus the very reasonable price, made my choice an easy one. It really seems as if Behringer has worked very hard at building a high quality product at a price that musicians can handle. For me, the K450FX is the best value out there in a compact, one piece, PA system. Other units I looked at were also designed with similar features and high quality, but cost substantially more, and I just felt that the Behringer was the "right one".
