Product Rating Product Review I own two of these for two completely different bands. Can do pop/dance to punk/metal with ease. The 5 way foot switch gives you every possible tone under the sun and has a boost button for searing guitar solos or high gain antics. This amp’s distortion can go from dirty to super saturated better than other top amp brands that I’ve played in my 42 yrs of playing on stage. I give it my highest recommendation.

Product Review I can't say enough about this amp. I've been a dedicated Quilter user and missed my old tube amp, and after painstaking reviews of this Blackstar and the equivalent Marshall, I went with the Blackstar and it is SO worth every penny! Thanks AMS!!

Product Review I LOVE this amp! The tube sound that it carries is amazing for the money. Can easily keep up woth a drum set with no problems. Tone quality and crunch in the distortion/overdrive is so good!!! Very satisfied!!

Product Review First off, this amp sounds great. It's hard enough to find a 3 channel tube amp, and even harder to find one with 3 usable channels. The clean is crisp and clear and the 2 OD channels go from classic rock to hair band to modern metal without getting muddy or losing much clarity. I always associated Blackstar with metal, but you can really run the gamut with this amp. There's a lot to like here. The separate volume for each channel greatly enhances the usability. The wattage throttle is one of my favorite features. At home it's always on 6 watts and I don't notice much if any tone degradation, even at 'don't wake the baby' levels. When cranked up to gig or practice volume that 60 watts pushes through the mix with ease. This is a great amp if you need to cover a variety of styles. My only (minor) complaints are the reverb is not that great, and the amp is quite heavy. The effects loop makes up for the reverb but there's not much that could be done about the weight. It's not an 80 pound amp, but it's hefty for a one x 12 combo so be aware. Overall I'd give it 4.5 stars.
