At 57lbs these are definitely a lighter sub that can give you the extra oomph, especiallyin band settings or most weddings. If you're looking for club bass, I'd suggest going after something with an 18" in it with lots of power or maybe the Bose sub2. Actually, if I was buying these again, I'd probably get 2 of the Bose sub2 since they get down into the 305 to 37hz range and have certain features that would work well with my Bose S1's better.
I have the F1 mains, they're pretty bright if you're using the built in stands that come with the F1 subs and mounting them at that level, so be prepared to EQ. I usually don't even use the built in stands, I try to get the F1 main speakers up higher in the air

I know a lot of hifi people frown on Bose because of their lack of using high quality material to build their products. Bose makes products to be used and not stored on shelf because it's priced for the rich and famous....ijs.
With that said this sub has done wonders for me I've used in my truck, my house and even for movie nights in my backyard. Easy to hookup and sturdy enough for long play.
Sounds great in every set-up for me. Saving to get another one can't wait to have two of them.

The bass is DEEP, case SOLID, and the sound WARM!!! I am so happy I made the move on this bad boy. Been watching it for a year. Because of its rectangular shape, it easily fits in the trunk of my 2015 Chrysler 300, along a pair of QSC K10.2s, speaker stands and DJ backpack. I had no desire to put anything inside the interior of my car, and tear the interior up and I don’t have a truck so I needed a sub that BUMPED but that would fit in the trunk. I did a ribbon cutting for a new Veterans Affairs clinic. I was placed on the side of the building where the food truck was placed. The audience was in the front. I played the national anthem for the nurse singing it. It was unbelievable. The bass was so deep that it carried around to the front of the building where the audience sat. The Director, Congresswoman and State representative with their staff were blown away at how the base carried. I am happier than a pig in slop. Just so freagn’ happy. Bust the move, you will not be disappointed, I promise you.

I previously purchased the Bose ToneMatch T4S mixer along with two Bose S1 Pro PA speakers. The subwoofer is what the system was missing. The S1’s give you the highs and mid’s while the subwoofer gives you a warm and comforting low. I was asked to DJ a small wedding of about 50 or so guests. This was just right. Crystal clear vocals from the emcee along with well balanced audio for music. I love a sub that can deliver a pounding kick drum to the chest but not a boomy sound. Thank you American Musical for your quick services since this purchase was a last minute need. I’d definitely recommend this sub to anyone.

Where should I start, Like they say 1,000 watts of power packing all the performance of a larger bass box into a more compact design that's lighter and easier to carry. That's exactly how I see this BASS BOX. I've been a professional DJ for more than 25 years. I've had plenty of Bass speakers, way larger than this one. I also own other Bose Pro Speakers. But this one is the best in my book.

The F1 model 812’s are awesome enough on their own, but when you add the F1 subwoofer, BAM! Big bass hits your from all sides. Besides the Big Bass, its ingenious the way they have a built in stand for the F1 812’s. I was using the regular shakey tripod speaker stands but the F1 subwoofer is a lot sturdier. I also like the forward thinking for having a channel to hide the cords. It provides a much neater look. Along with that are the well placed handles on the subwoofer allowing easy transport. Bose has done it again.

I've been mobile DJing for over 18 years. Packing heavy equipment in my car, setting up said heavy equipment and then tearing it all down. That gets old really fast.
Enter the BOSE F1 Subwoofer. It weighs an astonishing 40lbs! FORTY POUNDS! That's super light. Not only is it super light but it's super powerful! If you think I'm using the word "super" too much then you are exactly right because super is a very accurate definition of this speaker. It has two 10inch sub speakers which equals a 20inch sub and man it packs a punch. I've had this speaker for 4 months and it FAR exceeds expectations. If you are a mobile DJ looking for something light and powerful then you can stop looking, the F1 is your speaker.

The Bose F1 powered subwoofer has delivered consistent bass for multiple events that I have performed at, whether it’s an 3 hour pool party or an 6 hour outdoor wedding. I can easily carry the subwoofer up s flight of stairs which is another reason why I love it.

I own a company that provides PA solutions for working musicians in small to medium-large venues. Covered and outdoors with 1000+/- people is what we should be talking about as this is my most common scenario.
As a one person operation, when there's no help setting up, these are manageable easily with a light dolly or cart. They have a relatively small footprint in comparison to other subs and have a great mounting system for the 812.
Now, the sound... For people who upgraded from the B1 bass modules to the B2 and were excited about the increase in low end, these subs feel 10x more powerful than the B2's. They don't have the rear bleed the passive cabs have and they punch MUCH harder. I set up two F1 stacks for an outdoor gig last fall and had tons of headroom with some bands at a consistent 97db at 60 feet from front of stage. Not the ear-piercing and highs that fatigue listener's ears but full "fat" sound where you would expect to see a couple stacks of dual 15" subs.
Buy this system. You won't be disappointed!

The Bose F1 Powered Subwoofer is the perfect addition to Bose F1 Model 812. It is light and compact yet produced full punchy bass. The mounting stand provides just the right elevation and cable channel system to hide unsightly cables that leaves you with a very asthetically pleasing rig. Kudos Bose! I Love it!
