THIS UNIT IS VERY USEFUL FOR EVENING OUT ACOUSTIC GUITAR AND GIVING A POLISHED PROFESSIONAL SOUND. I CANNOT EVEN HEAR ANY ARTIFACTS OFTEN ASSOCIATED WITH MORE COMPLICATED COMPRESSORS. VERY EASY TO USE WHICH IS GOOD SINCE MANUAL DOES NOT OFFER ANY EXPLANATIONS OR SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO USE THE UNIT. I AM USING VERY MINIMAL ATTACK AND RATIO WITH OUTPUT AT 12 O'CLOCK AND COMPRESSION AT ABOUT 30 TO 40 PERCENT. IT REALLY DOES ALLOW ACOUSTIC ELECTRICS TO SHINE BRIGHT. IMO EVERY ACOUSTIC ELECTRIC PLAYER SHOULD TRY A LITTLE COMPRESSION SINCE IT MAKES A PLEASANT ACOUSTIC PLAYING EXPERIENCE.THIS UNIT IS A WINNER AND CAN BE POWERED BY A 9 VOLT BATTERY WHICH REALLY HELPS WITH CORD CLUTTER.

Compression is often one of those effects that people either swear by or ignore entirely. Some lesser compressors don't seem to do much of anything when you click them on & off but when you're connected to a good compressor, you'll see what all the fuss is about. The CP-1X from Boss is one of the best compressors out there. Dial in the knobs to your liking & listen to your playing come to life. Balanced dynamics, beautiful singing clean tones, enhanced note definition and sustain. You'll wonder how you ever went without one. Try one out. You'll be glad you did.

Listen I've owned every pedal box sound effects equipment out on the market anybody that's got 40 plus years probably has as well and this is perfect compression box you'll never need another one this little guy is potent big time or you can tone it down. I don't know what else to say besides if you don't have one and you need one this is the one boom shakalaka from space frog

Awesome! I don't know why I've not used one of these in the past. It gives my guitar a really clear crystal tone, It's like installing new strings everyday.
