This switch is a very important tool for any guitar player. It helps me stay organized, activate many pedals at the same time, change pedal order virtually and the best thing is that is super easy to use. I would totally recommend it to anyone.

Great switcher with great capabilities that most others don't have. The ability to run your pedals in any configuration is amazing and a great way to dial in your sound. To avoid the menu maze (which isn't as bad as other menus) Boss has an amazing editor that you download and you can make all changes there on your computer. This is the way to go.

I had a Helix HX Effects unit which also works well and I will that system as my 'light' rig. But with my Mesa Triple Crown 100 amp head that has MIDI capability, I was really missing the sound of my favorite analog pedals and the easy-of-use ability to just reach down and turn knobs on pedals to tweak the sound. The Boss ES-8 delivers in spades! It's really easy to use and the build quality is fantastic! It does exactly what I wanted...patch creation combining multiple analog pedal effects with MIDI change control on the amp (channel switching). I highly recommend the system!

I'd been holding off for a while on getting a switcher, but finally made the plunge. I'm glad I did and this thing is amazing, but do expect to be doing some Youtubing to figure things out. The audio seems much cleaner than before using a switcher. I like stacking gain pedals and with the ES-8, being able to put them in any order makes for a lot of tonal options!

The pedal is amazing changing the order on my pedal board without having to rewire any pedals is amazing. The ability to make my rig stereo or mono is amazing as well the buffers in the pedal are amazing and it’s silent and doesn't affect your tone

Can't imagine not having one now. Creating go to patches is easy but you'll find whole new sounds experimenting with routing. Only way they could improve this thing for me is adding a third stereo in stereo out loop but it isn't needed. I bought the voodoo lab pedal power Mondo with it and it's a perfect match. The Friedman be od sounds massive through the ventris reverb omg

Fantastic product, built like a tank, easy to program and controls other midi devices effortlessly. It’s currently controlling 8 pedal as well as a Strymon Timeline, an Eventide H9, and my Mesa Jp2c, all effortlessly!

Def an awesome addition to my gear collection, being able to connect all my pedals, but then switch the order of signal flow infinitely, while allowing for amp channel switching, has opened lots of doors for tonal possibilities + getting rid of the need to physically move pedals around on my board to get different combos, def saves a lot of headaches so you can just get down to playing and having fun with all your gadgets. Total win here for the techs @ Boss!

After getting used to the menu, getting around the unit is easy. Manual should be rewritten. There are videos and blogs that help with setting up and understanding midi CC#.

Much to learn, pretty intuitive and very convenient for pedal enthusiasts. Midi switching, and this is also a midi controller which controls all my eventides, strymons and my grandmeister 36 head. That alone makes it well worth the money. This is the brains of my studio, absolutely no complaints. And the pros would take me a lifetime to list. Highly highly recommend!!
