I wasn't expecting much beyond a convenient way to practice guitar without disturbing my roommates, what I found was so much more. This little guy sounds WAY bigger than it's physical size. No, it doesn't move as much air as my Fender super six, but it's still, in my opinion, the best mini amplifier on the market. You will not regret your purchase.

After attempting to register the product with Boss, I was informed by their support team that there is NO WARRANTY WITH THIS PRODUCT BECAUSE IT IS CONSIDERED A CONSUMER ELECTRONIC ITEM. Besides that, it has an incredible amount of hum and buzzing when switched to the "brown" setting. Almost too noisy to use. And on the clean setting and the volume all the way up, its still too quiet and just becomes distorted. Spend a little more and get something bigger. All plastic and feels cheap,

I admit when I opened the small box and seen this small little amp I was skeptical. However, when I plugged in just guitar and chord no pedals, I was impressed. Now I have to plug in with my headphones and jam when I get home after work. Can't wait to see the addition of pedals will do.

I use 2 of these babys as my mini wet dry noodle rig. Grab a few pedals, hit the front porch, and trip in wide stereo washes...great with 1 super clean, and 1 dirty. A great time on the cheap.

Every summer I go back home across America to visit family for a month. I have been looking for a amp that could be extremely portable but also still sound good. well, I found it! This amp is great, the battery life last forever and it even takes pedals well! I guess sometimes it can have a slight hum but for $100.00 this is such a steal! I really like the clean channel.

I've owned a few amps as a guitarist but not a mini amp like the katana which is a very impressive product.Brown,clean and distortion channels do what they're made to make the guitar sound like.Highly recommended if you're looking for a mini amp you can take anywhere, especially that it's battery operated.

It does what a katana does. Perfect for waking up and playing in bed or playing not too loud to wake others in the house. It would be a tremendous amp if it included reverb or a power supply. It’s pretty solid time with just batteries.

The Boss Katana Mini is a great sounding little amp! All 3 channels and the delay is great. Pretty loud for 7 watts, too. Looking forward in playing the Katana Mini outside or wherever inspiration strikes! Boss rules!

I love this amp! We use it at family gatherings for singalongs. I can also connect a microphone to it for karaoke. Love it. It’s also great around the campfire as it is battery operated as well.

What you get is thick, rich brown tone distortion. Sound to practice trad metal with in your bedroom. Great for AC/DC, Zeppelin etc. You also get wonderful crunch sound - awesome for blues. Finally there's clean that you can greatly variate using gain and delay. Lots of options in this small box. I play it daily. It's cheap - give it a try and see what tone you'll discover for yourself!

I thought this would be a all in one blues to metal amp. Well I was wrong. Went back to all the online reviews and found that either they were recording from the headphone out into a mixing board or they were driving the amp with a pedal. I was looking for a small all in one practice amp to replace the Micro Cube my son took from me, the cube did not need a pedal. Is it worth buying? Yeah I guess. I have used vintage pickups and high gain pickups and the amp is okay. But not what I heard in the reviews till I slam the input with a pedal.

I was looking for something that could fit on my little side table in my living room to jam with whenever. I wasn’t really expecting it to sound any better than some sorta crunch, and probably cause I turned it up too high. Well, I got it, and yep, it fits on the table, and plenty of room left to set a drink down lol. This little amp has a great sound. Clean, crunch, and brown sound do not come up short on quality. The battery power is perfect for road trips or overnighters. Good price too. My niece is getting this amp(beginner), and I’ll grab another one for my house. Pretty cool little amp.

I was thinking of getting my self into the boss katana family but didn't want to take the risk of spending the money on the 50 or 100 watt so I get this to see how I would favor with it, and plus it's a perfect travel sized amp so it would be a win win for me. I thought how great can this be? I had a little battery powered amp that only did vintage tones needed something portable to practice metal on when I don't feel like using my 6505+. Dude. Clean channel: Nice. Crunch channel: meh Brown channel: Sweeeet. Good enough distortion for me to practice Metallica tunes in the backyard with minimal adjustments. I'm happy. The amp is light as a feather so you might wanna keep the box with the foam to store it safely. The delay is cool. Havent tried pedals on it. Don't feel a need to. So you will need the 12v charger unless you plan on using only batteries. its 30 dollars which makes it more like a 130 dollar amp. I bought a bunch of 8 packs of batteries at the dollar tree anyway. I recommend it for camping or just for when you don't feel like lugging the bigger amp around the house. Good stuff.

I have had the Boss Katana Mini for a few weeks now. I also recently purchased a different practice amp that, although bigger, does not sound nearly a good as this mini. The range of sounds you can get from it are what you would expect from something much bigger. From distortion to clean you will not be disappointed. This is another winner from Boss! My only issues with the Boss Katana Mini are that it does not come with an AC adapter and it does not have a headphone jack.

This amp had me blown away for its size and weight. It feels lighter than my Bluetooth speaker so when I pulled it out of the box I expected it to sound like a clock radio. For the one speaker that is in there it sounds amazing, and I will be definitely buying one of the larger katanas soon. Could have came with the power cord, but at least it came with batteries. Will be great for busking

I've had the Katana for a little over two weeks and I have to say I'm impressed with the sound and quality. This amp is good at what it does being a small battery powered amp the tone has a nice range of adjustment. You should not expect it to sound like a large cabinet that is simply unrealistic. Battery life is very good and build quality is excellent. Overall very happy with this purchase.

I like this little thing! I Was looking for a little, portable practice amp for for spontaneous jams. Its sounds great for its size. The 3 EQ let's you find the right tone for the Clean, crunch and Brown settings. The clean sounds amazing. The clarity is great.
And it's got some good crunch and distortion. Playing Rock and metal works with this!
Reverb and delay sounds great.
If your looking for something little, portable that sounds great to practice with, then this is it.
Havent tries it with batteries yet though.
Also bought the wall plug, so I don't have to constantly buy batteries.

After doing a fair amount of research into a portable amp for the road, The Boss Katana Mini kept catching my eye. It really is the best amp for traveling, practicing at home, and spontanious outdoor gigs. Its loud for the size, the three different channels all have great sound. Smooth clean, Gain with some bite, and The brown channel for the heavy metal guitarist in everyone. A plus is it doubles as a portable music player. At $100 dollars, there is no excuse to not play guitar anywhere.

This amp is as a absolutely amazing. For the size it will surprise you how it sounds like it’s way bigger than it really is. My favorite setting is the Brown sound. The clean is probably my other favorite feature on the amp. You will not be disappointed with this amp

Don’t get me wrong, this is a great little practice amp to have around your living room. But I’m trying to play brutal metal out of it, and the tiny speaker just can’t do it. I ended up getting the Yamaha thr10x. That does metal much better. This could also benefit from a USB port like the 50 watt katana. Now that’s a hell of an amp. Just too big for the wife to let me leave around.

Don't be Fooled by its small appearance. This amp has HUGE tone! I have been recording my album with it. I honestly think that you could gig with it providing you put a mic on it. It's an outstanding little amp. Small enough to take with you anywhere you go, but loud enough to annoy(or fascinate) your neighbors. Just buy one!

This little guy is simply astounding. I have discovered that the "cabinet voiced" line out sounds killer straight into the console. It gets loud enough to have caused problems for me at the Extended stay while on a business trip. Simple, lightweight and sounds outstanding for a battery amp.

Before I turned it on, I thought “this light little box can’t be all they claimed it to be” . I was wrong, it sounds great! Easy to dial in a great sound from clean to an articulate heavy overdrive. Delay sounds perfect . Literally have nothing bad to say about this amp! I have several high end tube amps and this amp sounds every bit as good
