This loop station has let me record my own acoustic compositions and add lead guitar, percussion and vocals plus harmonica all at the touch of a few buttons. Incredible being able to finally accomplish this. working on adding piano next.

i love the looper all in all and it has a ton of features that work flawlessly and the overall sound quality and playback are top notch.. the only drawback with the 202 looper would be the digital readout.. the 3 letter abbreviated menu really makes navigating and using this tool a pain, even after much use i still am not 100 percent sure its parameters are setup correctly so although the product is great.. the only thing holding
it back from being my favorite tool is the display.. it needs full word spelling amongst the parameters..

Great sound from this device. Effects and all are awesome. Fairly complicated at first, but once you get the flow of how the controls work you can get it setup the way you want. Only had it a few weeks.
I will be using it to play live so there are a few limitations while using the footswitch. You only have 2 buttons to program so starting and recording is on one side and the main track off is on the other. Unless you are using tracks from memory you will have to stop the track you are using once you switch chords for a Chorus. The issue I have is while using the Rhythm section, which I want, when I stop the track I have recorded on the rhythm stops as well. So I will need to figure out how to keep it going, right now it appears I will have to manually record it on track 2 and have it running as well.
I do recommend this device but be prepared to study the manual to get what you want out of it.

I needed a new looper and a way to record. I looked at the rc505 and discovered this 2 channel version. I had no idea the amount of effects it had. I've only had it a minute or so and already I've recorded a complete song to send to my label. The rc202 does even more than I could have imagined. Add effects while recording or later on mix down. Compression, no problem. Want to stack 300 loops on top of each other rc202 has got you covered. The 202 changed the game for me. My plan is to complete an entire album on this puppy. Then after recording you can take those saved tracks straight to the stage for live performances. The rc 202 is super intuitive to work with . If you need more room they make the rc505. My question is, what more could a guy need? As for me I think I've found my new writing partner and it fits in a bookbag effects and all. 5 starts baby

I bought this to loop guitar and voice. While the voice effects are super fun to play with, using it with guitar input at the same time as mic input is not super user friendly.
I will say that the user guides are not super fleshed out and internet doesn't seem to have many "how tos".
I'm trying to learn how to adjust the volume of one input on its own (for example, JUST the guitar, and not the voice). I can't find this anywhere online or in the user guides. Is this just not possible? For this reason I've rated it a 3.

If you're looking for a super dope party machine to make you the life of the party look no further than the RC-202!!!
Big improvements on the RC-505 in my opinion on streamlining production and getting the beats rolling quickly!
4 input and 4 track effects is one more than the 505 and the ability to one shot samples, ambient record with overdubbing or replacing tracks turns it into almost a 2 track cassette recorder!
A plethora of effects and filters makes song production a breeze!
Order now if you want to transform your beatbox game and step up you ability to make music on the fly. Pair with a Roland Street and you have a killer busking setup!

Boss did a great job on this product plain and simple. Personally I don't operate at a super high skill level, but not to worry. The designers have laid everything out in a rather ergonomic build. There are too many hidden gems within the 202 to explain just Jn this one review but one of my favorites is the guitar to bass mode. The looping effects are very dynamic as well and allow to you to really transform your composition on the fly which is great for live improv. My only dislike and reason of not giving 5 stars is that there is no volume option for your channels like that of the 505 versiob

Great loop station for someone who is trying to get into looping. Very easy to get the hang of and the effects are awesome. The tempo match feature is pretty cool as it will find and match the tempo of what you are looping.
