I haven't always loved the V30, and with some amps they've been worse than with others. But these newer V30 speakers they are making are great. Less annoying excessively sizzley high end. Instead it's pleasing/useful sizzle. Specifically, using right now with an ENGL and a Marshall and sounds great with both.

These are "THE" heavy metal speakers. You need metal or rock tones these are it. They sound amazing by themselves. If you like it nasty pair them with some greenbacks. If you want it smoother pair them with some Neo Creambacks. These are the absolute best. I always start with these as the base of tone.

These speakers just sound great. Marshall uses them for a reason, and there's a reason people like Marshall. If I need speakers in the future, I won't hesitate to make this purchase again. I have them in a Marshall 1960 A (Vintage) cabinet. The sound is perfect.

I have one of these in my isolation cabinet to compliment my Celestion g12k-100, they sound great together, v30 for the higher frequencies mic’ed up with a 57 close to the cap and k-100 with a ribbon mic for the darker midrange and lows. v30’s so great on their own as well.

I bought this to replace the stock speaker in a Fender Champion 40. I use the amp in fairly loud 5 piece Christian rock band. The efficiency of this this speaker allows me to be heard on a large stage with the amp volume set on 2-3. Tone is smooth and articulates every note played and with distortion sounds like a larger amp with multiple speakers.

I purchased a new Marshall Code 50 modeling amp and wasn't getting the tone I wanted even with all the variable adjustments. I considered a full range speaker but took a chance on the v30 and wow ! This speaker rocks ! Now keep in mind it's an 8 ohm speaker and the Marshall is a 4 ohm so Im ordering another V30 and building an extension cabinet. The parallel wiring will match the resistance.

I had long heard about the celestion vintage 30 but only recently decided to see what the hype was all about. I can say that this speaker has truly made a huge difference in sound. Each note emanating from my guitar is now rich and full. This speaker makes the clean channel of my amp sound warm and chimey. And the gain channel packs much more punch. Without belaboring the point, this speaker is worth every penny and will inspire you. Now I know what the hype is all about.

I used this in my Randall RG75 amp, which truly brought it to live. Great clean sound, very warm and crisp and also allows great highs to come through. Perfect for that classic crunch and still rocks hard with the distortion cranked. So happy with this speaker!

I mic one of these in a 4x12 slanted guitar cabinet with an instrument mic and it always reproduces a desirable tone. Keep in mind that guitars, cabinets, mics-etc all have a huge effect on tone, but if you want a high-quality workhorse of a speaker that is consistent and gets the job done, then the Celestion Vintage 30 is right for you.

Great speaker for Lows and Highs, in my current project we are looking for the old school British tone and the V30 does not provide this tone as well as the G12T-75 does. I removed the 2 V30's from my cab and replaced with 2 G12T-75's. I am sure the V30 is king in the High Gain world but I did not like the sound when using my 6505+ or my JCM 2000.

Always loved the tone of the vintage 30 one my 1st for 4x12 cabs had 2 ventage 30s in it and ever since it been my go too speaker it was matched with 2 gk100s they go great together. Celestion has never let me down

I should switched to vintage 30's a long time ago. I have 2 MotoTone 1x12 wide cabinets I put them in. They made a Huge difference. These are the perfect sound for me. Now I put one in my Fender Hotrod Deluxe also.

Swapped out the Fender Gold Label Eminence stock speaker in my 1993 Fender Blues Deluxe. the stock speaker is pretty amazing and I love it, but the voice of the Vintage 30 really made a dramatic difference! Great price from AMS made my decision to try the swap much easier and I couldn't be happier. :)

I bought a bugera 212ts cab and replaced the turbosound speakers with these and it was a great decision. I use these speakers for mostly metal guitar but clean sounds brutal too. Rich lows, perfect mids and crystal highs. You deserve it to your equipment to upgrade to these speakers.

I replaced an already nice sounding Laney Cub. I was looking for more volume and "oomph" though, since the original speaker was quite light. This is a heavy speaker with a large magnet. I don't know why but that big magnet makes a difference. My old peavey had massive black widow speakers and those were awesome also. I'd recommend this to those with Fender amps that may sound to bright

The vintage 30 is my go to replacement speaker. I wasn't thrilled with the tone I was getting out of my fender 65 deluxe reverb ri. Sometimes the guitar and amp combo are just not a good match. The stock Jensen is ok but a little shrill with the tele /pickup that I recently built. After replacing the Jensen with the v30 the tone is more even, smoother - no more shrill highs and a little more bottom end response. Once broken in it will sound even better. I've used v30s in other vintage amps as well - my go to replacement speaker.

The speaker still needs some breaking in time, but it is already much louder and beefier than the Jensen Mod I replaced it with. I may be able to gig with a 1 x 12 combo at the new loudness level, which would help my back.

This is a great speaker for the money. I have a small collection of speakers and this is one of the best. I had it in a Fender Blues Junior and it smoked! I now have it in a Hot Rod Deluxe and it is sweet. Nice tight bottom end good mids(even thought I must admit I keep my mids way down) and real sweet high end.

QUALITY:
A guitartist tonal dream. The Vintage 30 gives me the sound I've heard in my head for years. A definite 5.
FEATURES:
Very impressive sound, whether it's from a Class A 5 Watt Amp or a Class AB 100 Watt Amp
How can you not give it a 5.
EASE OF USE:
This speaker took about a week to break in, a small price to pay for tonal bliss.
An all the way 5.
VALUE:
Very value priced, considering the vintage tones it gives willingly.
