Product Rating Product Review This thing far exceeded my expectations. My friend and I each bought one for an event. We barely turned the volume notch to 1. Incredibly bassy unit and equally as clean sounding. Plugged just one of these in for a holiday party with 200+ people and again, even with just the one sub, barely had the volume up, and we were rattling the place. This thing is a beast and a half. Very sturdy construction. That said, it's also pretty heavy. I recommend getting help to lift it if at all possible, but I can lift one on my own if absolutely necessary. Get this. You won't be disappointed.

Product Review I ordered it Monday morning and got it Tuesday afternoon. Kudos to AMS!!! Used it Saturday for a gig, had it hid in a dark corner and the bar did not know what was hitting them. Used it with a pair of EV ZLX 15 also ordered on Monday morning and the sound was amazing. I have a couple more gigs coming up so I will report back.

The Quality seems to be very good. The front grill is super strong and the chasse is rock solid. If you drop it, your definitely going to put a dent in it, but I don't think it would bother any of the internal components. Although, I don't plan on finding out any time soon. It's a Cerwin Vega so I expect it to last a very long time. The CVA-118 Is awesome! It's packed with Power and that punchy Bass drive that only Cerwin Vega can Deliver. I play in a 5 piece Rock/Metal Band and this has made my setup so much easier. I plug my main outs into the woofer, and then attach two XLR cables out of the woofer passthrough and into my two powered main Speakers, set the low end cutoff on the woofer, and I'm done. Thing was a breeze to setup, and I no longer have to cart around a seperate Amplifier and clunky Subwoofer. Also I eliminated the need to have a seperate powered crossover. The only draw back of this woofer is it's weight. It's a monster weighing in at 110 Lbs. But I built a cart for it with some heavy duty caster wheels, and it's a breeze to roll around. Going up stairs You definitely need two people to handle it though. But the price and value of such good low end bass sound, keeps me smiling every step I have to take carrying it. The bass sound is some of the best low end I have ever heard. It rivals all the other big names, and I liked it's tone better than I did the JBL Eon series woofer. Cerwin Vega is known for their punchy Bass sound, and this woofer stays true to their reputation. It's got that heart thumping bass boom that would make any DJ shed a tear, and that nasty low frequency grumble that I like to hear from a woofer when our bass player plays in drop C tuning. Good Bass is felt and not just heard, and this woofer does the trick nicely.
