This was exactly what I needed for my bass. A wide variety of tonal possibility’s and Darkglass really outdid themselves with this unique take on an onboard preamp.

I loved it in my 4 string Dingwall NG can’t really afford another Dingwall so I put it in a 5 string LTD. Definitely not the same but it still kicks ass!

I replaced a stock bass pre-amp along with the stock pickups with this pre-amp and a set of Fishman pickups and all I can say is WOW completely blown away with the total overall tone variations I get from this setup over the stock setup definitely will be an essential in all my basses going forward

I put this in a Warwick 5 string Corvette $$$.
To accomplish this, I removed the tone pot, and drilled 2 more holes for the extra 2 pots that comes with this pre. The hole for the original tone pot had to be drilled out to fit the new pots.
All that said, the tone improvement was worth it. Richer on the low end, able to dial in an aggressive mid range and add some growl. The wiring was easy, and the diagrams for the additional wiring needed easy to follow.
All in all happy with the preamp and the tone it gave my bass.
