Bought new, used as an eq for studio monitors, worked about a week before one channel stopped working. Also introduced a lot of noise in the signal. I would not recommend.

Not for the untrained ear

This is a more advanced eq, for someone who can refine sound and notice the slightest difference in every little movement of the levels. If you’re a novice or just buying it for your home system, it’s good but it’s gonna take you a while to tune the sound to your liking.

Sonically clean and reliable. Have multiple units for live stage and studio playback. Never had a problem.
A little limited in how much throw you have on the sliders but so far they have worked fine for me.
I perform live, design pro-sound systems, and write/record for film, games, and tv so quality is important.
It's not a $4,000 Manley but it works fine for me and is affordable without substituting quality.

Bought this to replace a dbx eq that had survived 20+ years of hard work in a smokey, beery rehearsal studio. The new one is even better. We all appreciate the brushed aluminum face. So much easier to read! Why buy anything but the industry standard? dbx has been the best for a long time.

Product is Fine...AMS Advertising Expired $50 Rebate

Your general opinion of this product.
The product is fine. It does exactly what I purchased it for, hence me purchasing a dbx unit. I was, however, very disappointed that it said "$50 Rebate" on the product information page with AMS, and I received nothing with the product regarding a rebate, so I returned to the product information page and clicked for more details about the rebate, only to discover that for said rebate, the product had to have been purchased prior to 03/31/2014...yet the offer for a $50 rebate was still listed as of 05/19/2014 when I purchased TWO of these units...and was excited that I would be getting $100 back by purchasing through AMS. I wouldn't be as concerned...but I considering I ordered well over $3000.00 worth of gear...getting $100.00 back was a nice perk. Needless to say, I'm quite disappointed with AMS for false advertising.
For the cost of the unit, you really can't expect much more. I've only used the 2 units that I purchased for a few shows thusfar, but would anticipate a long life.
This is a pretty easy to use product in general if you have a relative amount of knowledge about sound reinforcement. I purchased two of these units to use for feedback control on 4 monitor sends...and they are doing a sufficient job for the intended purpose.
The filters seem, at least based upon how it sounds "by ear" as opposed to a spectrum analyzer, to be accurate. I'm using these to EQ 4 monitor sends, and have been able to find and cut out any feedback prone frequencies at a few live shows since I purchased them and really have no complaints...other than the false advertising regarding the $50 Rebate.
