Plastic is thick enough to protect top of device. Prevents the dust circulating in my home into my device. Used while device is on workstation table. Gave the item 4 out of 5 stars because I wish it covered entire device instead of the top only. Regardless, this item is definitely a must-have for all Roland Boutique owners. Always better safe than sorry!
