I went back and forth for a year over this guitar. It is absolutely the best guitar in my collection. The finish is awesome. The dimebuckers rock. Came out of the box ready to go. Pumping it though my spider amp with the helix pedal. Life long Pantera fan. If you have a chance dont hesitate to get this metal machine. Not an avid signature guitar fan, but this one lives up to the Dimebag legacy!

Picked up this DFH on the payment plan and couldn’t be happier with it! Got a dream guitar without having to shell out the full amount up front! The guitar arrived in excellent condition with no issues during shipping. Packaged well and played well right out of the case! If you have been hesitant about pulling the trigger on a new piece of gear because of the the big sticker price then the wait is over. Get that gear and get to making music without draining your wallet up front! It’s that simple!

The tone from the pickups is outstanding. Needed some setup work and that was no deal breaker. My wife got this for me in Sept for my 45th b'day and I have played it almost daily. I play it more than my 2 jackson's or my schecter. The only thing I would change is the location of he strap bolt. I would rather have them both on the back of the guitar instead of inside the horn.

Quality is unbelievable for this price-range, stunning to behold, and not as heavy as I thought it would be. It arrived in 4 days (counting weekend) and is in perfect mint condition. Case is quite large but very sturdy and guitar is extremely protected. Cannot beat the AMS payment plan; completely satisfied with purchases!!

I've been playing guitar for about 25 years. Mostly metal. Huge Pantera and Dime fan...which is probably the same reason you are looking at this. I've owned Gibsons, Ibanez, blah blah all the brands. Never a Dean. Was always hesitant for some reason. I finally decided to bite the bullet and get the guitar of my hero. Man THIS THING ROOOOOOCKS! Came in perfect shape and FAST delivery. Plugged it in...tuned up and was ripping the Cemetary Gates solo. Lots of people gripe about the Floyd Rose Special...but unless your beating the heck out of it it's fine! Pickups are nice and hot and just got that Dime growl. Feels like a USA custom built guitar. Fit, finish, paint, packaging, action was spot on. No issues. The pics do not do this thing justice. Its 10x as awesome looking in person. If your a Dime fan GET IT! Dean fan for life now. Thank you American Musical!

bought the only one in stock it it was slightly damaged was sad plugged it in and played it and was no longer sad it sounds and plays better than i dreamed of ams did me right because of the damage and it didnt realy bother me because i would have most likeley bought a scratch and dent one if it popped up because i have always wanted the dean from hell

Was very pleased with the guitar as far as craftsmanship and it’s ability to stay in tune even with constant abuse. Quality and sound are better than expected. Price point not bad either. Overall I’m satisfied with the purchase.

Awesome replica of Dime’s Dean from Hell. Much nicer than I expected. Sounds an plays great! Thru neck, light weight with the signature Dime tone and Floyd Rose with routed out back end to get those squeals. Comes set up and ready to go, right out of the box.

The guitar itself is pure magic, its amaizing playing this guitar, very enjoyable, the best purchase i ever made.the tremolo is floyd rose, is beautiful, really enjoyable also, the dr string high voltage, very resistand in the pulls out. And the sound of this guitar is facinated. And is at very good price very affordable, i am a fan of this guitar since long time, is really design for speed, the solos sound very cleans, the tremolo with the locking nut its a very nice touch, i highly recomend this product even for first time apprentice.

I figured I’d like this guitar seeing as how I’ve wanted it for about 17 years. Darrell Abbott is my idol and I knew I had to have this guitar one day. I also had it in my mind that it may not live up to my expectations because I’ve put it on a pedestal for so long. Well, let me tell you, I cannot put this guitar down. I dream about playing it. Sometimes I get up an hour early so I can play it before I go to work, then while I’m at work, I think about getting home to play it. It’s light, the neck is fat but extremely comfortable, it plays like a hot knife through butter. It shreds. You can play anything on this thing. Blues, metal, jazz even. I absolutely cannot explain how much this guitar has exceeded my expectations. The case is not perfect though. It’s not made as well as I would have hoped. The guitar does fit perfectly inside and the case will protect it. If you’re thinking about buying this thing, I can guarantee that you will at least like it and probably love it.

I was very impressed with the way it was set up, and the overall quality of the guitar is great. The pickup quality is outstanding and the action felt perfect, my only complaint is that that the headstock is a bit big and could possibly break. I would 100% recommend this guitar to any fan of Pantera or Dimebag Darrell.

I've wanted this guitar for 20 years but had reservations about buying one not made in America. Mostly due to quality. I must have researched this product for 3 months and then finally decided to pull the trigger. After all I believe American Musical gives you ample time to test it out for a full refund if you're not happy. So I received the guitar and had it inspected by a guitar tech friend of mine I trusted. There was some buzzing in one of the upper frets so a couple of frets had to be leveled. That only cost me 50 bucks and the result was fantastic. It truly has one of the best feeling necks I've ever played. The pickup selector switch and tone and volume pots are of low quality but sufficient. Even so I'm very happy with the purchase and it has become my favorite guitar to play. Very light and comfortable to play. The overall sound is awesome! Finish is perfect too!

I play guitar in a Pantera tribute band and everyone that has seen this guitar loves it and can't believe how great it looks and sounds. I have never owned a Dean and after several hours of playing the Dean From Hell the first day I got it, I soon realized why Dime loved these guitars so much. The guitar is almost effortless to play and I am now deciding which Dime Dean guitar I want next. I'll be getting it from AMS again, that's for sure.

of course i would. its one heck of a guitar with the floyd on it and the dive bombs and high screams. its always a ground favorite

im a dean man and so far this is the best dean ive played yet.
go listen to the pantera records and thats what you get. it can do everything from the blues of SRV to the metal licks of Warbeast
like before it can do everything you ever would want out of a guitar
