This pickup has power and it definitely cuts through the mix. it has a slight wah voicing to it like most Dimarzio's do. I would say it's like a PAF Pro but with a lot more power.

THIS IA AN EXCELLENT REPLACEMENT PICKUP, THIS TONE RANGE IS A LOT BRIGHTER,GREAT LOWS ,MID RANGE LOW LOW'S,IT'S SOUND IS CLEAR ,GREAT FUZZ TOO,I COULD TELL THE DIFFERENCE AS SOON AS I PLAYED THE FIRST NOTE, THIS MITE BE THE BEST PICKUP I HAVE PURCHASED
