Bought these to add to my heavily modded Hammer Slammer from days of old when I installed some Seymour Duncans and I just can't say enough about these strings-?!! They are a thing of Black Beauty-!!!!

Have been using these on my basses for about three years. Not much more expensive than regular strings but last three times longer, have a clearer cleaner sound and feel good on your fingers unlike other coated bass strings.

The black on my black stiletto looks awesome. Great feel on the fingers and sound terrific. I’ve had mine for about a month and play a couple of hours a day and I’m beginning to see the coating wear off on the frets. Not sure if this is supposed to be happening. Hasn’t affected the sound or feel yet. I’m on this purchasing another two sets!!

I really like the feel of these strings. To me, they have the texture of rounds, but at the same time they are smooth and quite like coated stings.
The tone of these strings are amazing, as far as how long they last. Time will tell. I hope they last as long as Elixir strings.

Not Only are they Black but they are Beutiful. Ever since my first set im hooked. Silky feel without blistering up your fingers. Great tone and they last forever. I do tend to break the coating down on the fretside since I bend a lot.Other then that they cant be beat.

The strings I received broke when attempting to tune up 4th string I didn’t have a set of calipers but comparing it to rest of set I don’t believe it’s a 45 gauge

Had used fat, flatwounds for the Jamerson tone but the Thomastix strings were not clear in the mix with other guitars and I could not correct it with eq or technique. The DR strings were a big improvement and ring clear even while muting. I like them.

Out of the box, they are O.K. - not as bright as I had hoped, produces rich warm tones though... feel is fine, but I think a little bit brighter strings than these may go one my bass next

I love them, a lot of people don't like coated strings because it dose something to the sound that's not good especially if you play metal or hard rock but i think sound just as good or better than other non coated strings. This is my 2nt set and i will buy more.

Great strings.But much different than the feel and sound of most strings.Put them on a second bass for a variation and you wont have to change them for a year.

Takes some getting used too.Then you appreciate the smooth sound and how it forces you to change your playing.
