I play these on my telecasters.I love the warm bright tone and clarity.on the bridge p/u with some reverb.you can really get these strings to twang,pop,snap.yet they sound great for heavy distorted rock tones as well.at this price point it's a no brainer.get a couple sets.you should not be disappointed.plus with the great payment options AMS had to offer.throw a couple sets in your cart with a bigger order and get the best bang for your buck.just do it already!

I started using these strings after I met the late Michael Burks we eating together in Columbus Ohio before his show and I got to ask many questions about his gear an he was a humble guitarist that could play the blues like no other and YES he played DR pure blues strings and now I do too!! RIP Mike.

I use these on my axes when I'm playing the blues and they never fail to deliver that classic old school blues tone. I f I'm playing rock I use NYXL's but when it comes to the blues these are it ! Try some !

Best electric strings I've ever played in over 40+ years.
It's true the round core technology [used by Pyramid too] makes for a better sounding string.

I have been Playing Pure nickel strings for a long time but finding fender pure nickel strings was becoming a pain so I decided to give a try to DR brand and I will never play anything else they are warm and clear and long lasting I gig every weekend and I can go over a month without changing strings and the tone only betters as they age if you are looking for a string that sounds good and very cost effective look no farther then DR Pure Blues

Very well made string. Being hand wound, they must be crimped before clipping. But I am sold on them.
They really don't last as long as some other brands I've used, but they are affordable and changing strings does not bother me.
Your general opinion of this product.
Having played for over 30 years I have tried a lot of different strings. I will not use anything else at this point. From a Tele, to a Firebird, to a Les Paul, they are consistent.
