This pedal is so solid and indestructible. I never worry about whether or not aggressive playing will take its toll and on the other side of the coin, the smooth response and feel of this work of art, makes the entire experience an absolute pleasure. This is simply the best pedal on the market I've ever played.

I have 5000's and MDD's as well as these 9000's. I couldn't recommend these enough based on how I play. I also love the fact that they're made out of organic, non gmo, artisan crafted aluminum and steel. The texture on the posts is actually not from casting as you may all know. It's actually the texture from Peter Erskine's backhair. It was a very excruciating process for him and there are videos of it on the dark web. I don't recommend looking them up. The good news is that Peter has a supple, hairless back and now he can wear his expensive satin shirts without worrying about them getting all snagged on hair.

First off I must say that AMS rocked this transaction with thier excellent customer support! This pedal is built so well and has so many options for configuration you absolutely can't go wrong with this purchase. It also comes with a great carry case that is built with the gigging drummer in mind. I have tried many double pedals and have owned previous DW 5002 versions as well but, I made the choice that best suits my style with pop, rock and metal and man I am I glad I chose this product. Super durable and smooth at the same time. No matter what your style of music is, this pedal will deliver for years to come. Thanks AMS!

Been playing for 40 years first good pedal was a ghost pedal since than tried most of the pedals on the market. It comes down to connecting the foot to the head and what takes place between that connection that you are good with, than does it flow with your high hat pedal DURABILITY, how much do you have to adjust it to keep the same feel, break down time and the ware on your base drum hoop. For me I been using a DW 5000 double pedal with a 2 legged DW5000 high hat stand for 15 years its Never let me down. Purchased a DW9000 little different and the hoop clamp is better than the 5000 a little more time to dial it in but it stays where you want it. I have 2 DW collector series kits and 2 Tama kits they all have DW pedals

In my 48 years of drumming professionally I haven’t seen any foot pedal ( double or single ) that is as responsive and fast and smooth as the DW90002. I use it every night. It’s reliable and unlike most foot pedals has no extra parts to it that end up falling off after a certain time. It’s easily adjustable as well. I am able to achieve the perfect balance by adjusting the springs along with the beater in a matter of seconds to achieve its speed and power which are unmatched by any other and I’ve tried them all. I knew this double pedal was the best because I had played Tommy Lee’s 90002, I knew immediately. The pedals come with a drum key/allen wrench and in a sturdy, hand held vinyl case making for an easy load in and out plus an easy set-up and tear down. Thank You DW and Thank You AMS.

I had the DW machined direct drive double pedals before these and in my opinion the 9000’s are way faster and hit harder! Both the 9000 and mdd pedals are equally smooth and both have plenty of adjustments for an individuals preference but the 9000’s give you a little extra grip where the mdd’s have a slippery board making it hard to stay consistent unless you are used to that style board. Also seeing as most drummers play on a chain driven pedal it makes the transition to the top shelf pedal realm easier with less “getting used to” time where the mdd’s took me a little while to get acclimated with. I’ve also owned Tama speed cobras and power glides, DW 5000’s, Pearl eliminators and Direct-drives, and nothing has come close to the 9000’s in my opinion! Grab a set and thank me later!

These pedals are fast, incredibly smooth, and really hit hard. I love that they are easy to adjust, and that they stay the way you set them. The spring rocker is silent and silky. The pedal board is substantial, the heel joint is sturdy and fluid. The universal drive seems sturdy enough, though I’ve had them go bad on a pair of 5000 series pedals, as well as Axis and Tama pedal linkages. The tiny joints in a u-link take a lot of stress, but these show no signs of wear in the 6 months of regular use I have given them. Overall this is a superb professional grade piece of gear, and it makes hitting hard a little easier due to its rugged massiveness. The standard DW meat tenderizers still get the job done! But if you’re looking for a little more responsiveness, just go with a lighter beater.

I have used the DW 5002 for years and I loved it, so I decided to give this one a try. It took me a while to get used to it because it is so light on the feet. At first I felt like I couldn't get any power so I changed out the beaters for the ones from the DW Machined direct drive pedals and it made a world of difference, especially with the tiny weights you can add.

This is the best pedal I have ever bought. It has a smooth action and heavy attack. The slogan that DW didn’t invent the pedal but perfected it is so true with this pedal. The only thing I do not like is the company switched the hard case for a soft case.

Pedal is nice and smooth, but when you really get thumping the foot board hits the upper frame upon release, and makes a click which my mic picks up. It is supposed to be adjustable to infinity. No problem though. Solid construction. I am happy.
