I love this pedal, seriously. It is adjustable in every way, so as customizable as any pedal I have ever seen or played. I recommend experimenting with the number and locations of the beater weights, that really changed the feel.
It certainly worth the price, as steep as it is.

This pedal is an answer to kick dreams I've had for 50 years of drumming. As an original Speed King junkie from the late 60's, I have always searched for a kick pedal that responds to my frenetic foot in a like manner to the King. I have tried a ton of different kick pedals through the years and have orbited around the DW 5000 and 9000 for the last 10. But this pedal is an indescribable joy to play. This pedal is IT, fellow drummers. Smooth, sleek, and responsive to the slightest touch, cool to look at, comfortable platform for the foot, set-up a breeze, and it glistens and sparkles in true DW style. You won't regret owning one. The price initially worried me but no fears on that score. I imagine this pedal will certainly outlast me; it is most likely the last pedal I'll ever have to buy.

DW has built the best pedal. This aircraft grade aluminum pedal has the perfect weight and feel. Very little adjustment needed to suit my drumming. I’ve always played DW pedals and I have many but I found the perfect pedal for all my playing choices.

His is the best pedal I have tried hands down, I haven’t tried every pedal out there but of all the ones I have tried this one has it all. Although it’s price is a little on the higher side of town, rest assured that you will get what you paid for. DW has really knocked it out of the park with this line of pedals.
