This direct link pedal is amazing,the adjustments can be played as direct or like a floating hi hat the tensions you can adjust to fit any playing style. Thumbs up to DW

Replaced a DW 7000 series stand with this. It does take some time to adjust to the difference from traditional technology so I set the spring tension near maximum at first and lowered a bit after acclimating for a few shows.
Still kind of a pain to fold and store but the tradeoff in performance is well worth it.

Not too much different then the 9000 hi hat a little smoother. I mainly bought it to match the Direct Drive pedals.

I bought this purely because I picked a pair of the matching bass drum pedals and I wanted to keep everything matching, I couldn’t be more happy with the whole package. Everything is infinitely adjustable, extremely durable and the legs are easily removed if you do like I did and mount it to your rack.
