I've used these for the past 25 years, really since I started playing. I use the 1.14mm for heavier/shred stuff, and the .60mm for acoustic and lighter rock. They're durable, bright colored so I can see them when I drop them, and the coating helps them stay in my fingers more than other picks. Great picks!

Have used probably every brand of pick. But generally always seem to have a Dunlop in my hand. I like heavier picks and another of them seem heavy but aren't really durable. But Dunlop are quality. Would always recommend.

I recently used both the .50mm and .60mm versions of the Dunlop 4181 Tortex Standard Guitar Picks and I have to say, I'm extremely impressed with both. The .50mm picks are perfect for me - they provide a good balance between control and flexibility, and the pick glides smoothly across the strings. The .60mm picks are a bit thicker and offer a bit more control, which is great for certain playing styles.
One of the things I love most about these picks is their durability. They seem to last a long time and don't wear out as quickly as some other picks I've used. The Tortex material also provides a nice, smooth feel and gives a good attack on the strings.
Overall, I highly recommend the Dunlop 4181 Tortex Standard Guitar Picks in both .50mm and .60mm to any guitarist. They are high-quality picks that offer excellent playability and durability, and they're available at a very reasonable price. I love my Tortex yellows! I did my time with the classic celluloid pics, but got tired of burning through a half dozen per set. You could literally do an entire gig with one Tortex... they are that tough. They also have that unique smooth yet grippy texture. Best picks ever!

I like the red .50 version because I like the flexibility when I do wrist action tremolo picking a-la-Eddie Van Halen. I use different picks too, but I grew up with fender thins, so I like this gauge. Has a good gripping surface much better than celluloid. I like em' a lot. The flow version is good too. Doesn't seem to break like celluloid either.

The Dunlop 4181 Tortex standard guitar picks are very much worth their price. I have been using Dunlop Tortex picks for several years and found them to last as long as picks costing twice as much. Their various colors assist with easy identification of thickness. The tortex finish helps to grip them. If your like me and sometimes use the picks inverted, these cooperate well. AMS has a very competative price and does ship them free of charge for shipping.

I have used nothing but Dunlop 60mm "Orange" picks for well over 20 years now, and the AMS price on the 72 pack is a screaming deal. Whether it's on my '56 Les Paul Gold Top, my Strat, my Ovation acoustic/ electric, my 12 string, my Quatro, or my mandolin, Dunlop 60's are all I need, and now thanks to AMS, I've got all I need for some time.

The Yellow73s never let me down!, Always feel and sound nice. great texture, & easy to see on a dark soggy stage if/when dropped. Just figure on burning through 2-3 with a typical gig. But they defiantly clean up nicely through the wash. Id highly doubt anyone could give these bad boys a bad review! ??

Yes, they are just pics. But I have seen some pretty cheap pics.... not these ones.. the green .88mm pics are just right for me... the have a tiny bit of texture, so they don't slip from my hand.... by far my favorite pics... for both guitar & bass.... so far... :)

I have used everything from pennies to celluloid and once I found these, I stopped buying other picks. Every so often I log in and order a dozen or so in .73 They last, they're cheap, the have a nice texture, and they are easy to spot when you drop one in a dark room.

They last great! I use them hard with all my guitars, basses and acoustics, for over 3hours a day. They wear out in around a week. But everyone has their own oppinion of when a pick wears out. I say its when the pic doesn't have a real good feel to it anymore. Been using these for about 5yrs now. After hating all of the picks that my peers used, I tried these and now they all use these too!
FEATURES:
They aren't color coded anymore which sucks, they're white with a colored turtle on them. Which defeats one of the plusses about these picks which was that them being brightly colored, you could grab them fast. I have 2 diff thicknesses in my holder on my mic stand and strap at any given timme, so the color thing was a must. Now its harder when Im in a hurry.
EASE OF USE:
They rock. They sound great, they hold their shape. They dont do that really annoying thing where the pick curves to the shape of your thumb after awhile. The a

WELL MADE, this pick will past forever, the only time i have broken one is when i placed my airsoft gun right up to it, hitting it at 307 FPS...

QUALITY:
Very Good picks....i haven't had one break yet.
FEATURES:
there is a wide variety of sizes...one for every guitar player out there.
EASE OF USE:
easy to hold, easy to do guitar tricks with..
VALUE:
three dollars for twelve of 'em..how could you go wrong?
SOUND:
they sometimes make scratchy noises,clicks,etc.

The only pick for hard rippin' rhythm and flexible enough to feel the smoothest leads. The only pick that I would ever choose, any pick does the job, but these picks don't slip in my hand and they are the most reliable

well the turtle is neat, haha nhow many "features" can u have with a pick?
EASE OF USE:
If your buying them you should know how to use them, but they do have a good grip for not having any dots or anything on them
VALUE:
great value these picks last for a long time too the .88s are my choice
SOUND:
A+ great sound can be very clean pretty good for harmonics & such

These picks are a dream compared to the ones I grew up with. I prefer thins but their average life expectancy is about 1 to 5 minutes. I had been forced to use medium to thick picks with the result being lots of broken strings. My guitar playing son introduced me to Tortex reds and it's all that I've used ever since. They are amazingly resiliant and supple. They can be played all the way down to severely blunt. They never break. Your guitar strings will love you for using them. They bring out all the subtle nuances of any playing style, and yet you can scream at top volume with them. Thanks to Tortex for revitalizing my love of the electric guitar.

QUALITY:
These picks have great quality, I reccomend the green or blue picks, they're great for playing heavy metal, like system of a down. I had these for a month and only one broke (out of 72)!
FEATURES:
Well I guess the turtles are nice :)
EASE OF USE:
These are great on electric guitars, I play an Ibanez. It is very easy to use and yur guitar will sound great with it.
VALUE:
Worth every penny, it will last for a lifetime. I'd definitely pay double that price for this product.
SOUND:
This makes your guitar sound really great, I play on a Marshall amp, and an Ibanez guitar (the Jewel Blue one).
STYLE:

QUALITY:
Everything about the picks was awsome exept the words fade very easy, but that really doesn't matter much : ) Also, i had a few Fender picks that I used before and i broke them easily but these haven't broken yet and i play really hard with them.
FEATURES:
They come with a layer of stuff (:P) that makes it so that you dont drop the picks but that wears off quick too. Also, the picks being color coded is a useful feature.
EASE OF USE:
Well, it's not really that hard to use a pick :P
VALUE:
I think that about $.20 per pick is a pretty good deal for 72 picks and about $.01 more each for the 12 pack.
SOUND:
It depends on what type of music and what sond you want, so you pick different thickness of the picks.

These picks I use in a band called oasis, and they are very durable.
FEATURES:
there aren't many feartures.
EASE OF USE:
these picks have very good grip. and yet they slide across the strings with ease.
VALUE:
I got these picks at a very good price. AMS has the best prices around. even better than XXXX.
SOUND:
the sound is good. It isn't the greatest, but with the great price you can't argue.

QUALITY:
Top notch. These things are practically indestructible. I switched to these in 85 (or close to then) from the standard old brown crappy picks that I'd chew through pretty quickly. Sometimes multiple picks per song. I still actually have one from 1988 that I was using for my first live show.
FEATURES:
It's a pick, what else is there.
VALUE:
The best value. This back should last you a long time.

QUALITY:
These are a great quality pick. They don't melt under running tap water and they've never been known to go flat.
FEATURES:
They are pick shaped and come in different colors which indicate thickness. I suppose that this would indicate a 5 when it comes to rating a pick.
EASE OF USE:
They have helped me get better as guitarist, or was that practice? They are easy to use, because they don't slip.
VALUE:
They have a long life for the money spent on them, so I'd call that a good value.
SOUND:
I occasionally hold one up to my ear, but they never make a peep. When used on a guitar, they are expressive enough and allow you to make a good sound.
STYLE:
Alternative Rock, Pop, Country, and Blues

They stay put between your fingers...very important when you're rockin' out under all those hot lights on a steamy Phoenix night. The 'tortex' finish is a stroke of genius.
