For the low price these cost I would highly recommend this, they go on and get very tight and will not come off. They are made from plastic but have held up well so far.

Decent entry level strap locks
By: Hercules Rockefeller

Product Review
I need a cheap strap lock so I tried these 4 is shrimp with then pieces of fabric or leather on the ends where it locks onto the guitar it would work great. With a Levy's Jacquard strap that has thick leather end pieces on it. When I tried to lock the strap lock on it broke because the leather is too thick for it to lock. It wasn't a design flaw, nor was poorly made it was me. I broken by being careless it was user error. For the price they will definitely work especially with a more basic strap.

The Good & the not so good....

Product Review
I got them today ( fast ship too thx AMS!) I put them on my Yamaha apx small body A/E. They came apart while tightening them down? I thought I broke them but they just snap back together. I would not use these on a higher end guitars yet they seem to hold? The not so good; if you have a Martin or Taylor or any pricey A/E (like my MK)BUY the straps with locks already on them. NOW, if you are a hacker, home player mostly and want something for a little extra security BUY THESE ! Since I just got them,, I think Dunlop could have spent more time on the design for a few cents extra! I am not posting my design suggestions since they don't pay me too! I have read all the other reviews and if I took these out to play, I would stay conscious of the fact for a few gigs to be on the safe side! I tried to see if they would fit on my Michael Kelly Dragonfly A/E Bass and they do not and I wrote this for the Bass & Guitar Acoustic / Electric players. For me , ok 4 now! Thank U & AMS ! 4 star for $$

In theory, this appeared to be a good idea. However, the locking mechanism was very difficult to turn into position. It took both hands and considerable effort. So I lubricated them, which helped somewhat, but they remain unusable. I have since ordered a Lock-it Strap; we'll see how that works.

Product Review
The concept behind Dunlop's Ergo Strap Locks is great. However, their ease-of-use is marginal at best. The plastic lock did not open easily; and, it did not fit my LP's upper strap button as I had hoped. However, its design and function will work with my Tele's upper strap button. It made no sense to return the item. It was a cheap gift to myself.

These locks work great, but after a few months, mine have started to come apart and one of them is actually CRACKING.
I am not abusing them in any way, however, I'm using them to hold a strap onto my Les Paul, so the weight of the guitar may be an issue.
Just be warned...get what you pay for.
