One knob? What confidence! I love an effect that doesn't allow you meds up the magic by endless tweaking. Definitely an honest pedal calling itself a preamp. I use it on a clean channel with the knop at about 3/4. It warms up the sound AND polishes it (to my ear anyway). I have it before my fuzz but don't really use it as a boost. I want to buy the delay and see how they sound together.

Very subtle preamp for boosting leads and bringing out slide work. I’ve tried multiple boost pedals and they have too much gain for what I’m doing, this pedal puts any lead work right where it needs to be in the mix.

Do you require secret sauce? If so buy this pedal! No terribly loud but adds a little grit to a clean amp or use it on a dirty amp for more of a overdrive. Works really well with single coils to push the signal a little more. Because after all more is better!!!

Dunlop is always high quality and this is no exception. Great sound for the price! I would recommend if you are purchasing the echoplex.

I bought it due to the statement that echoplex put on the delay pedal that preamp was needed to make it work at full capacity. waste of money except it works for overdrive distotion.

If only everything was this simple! I use this as a "lead boost" into a slightly dirty amp and my oh my it is amazing. Also great in front of dirtier pedal to add more oomph. AND ofcourse, a great always on pedal at the start of your rig to create a warmer guitar tone. Great product.

This pedal was just what I was trying to find ! I have had a couple of these type of boosts and I like this one the best. It will overdrive my amps if need be but I like it as a always on tone shaper ! Now I have puchased a MXR ep101 delay to go with it !
