If you’re one of the folks out there chasing EVH’s sound then this is a must. Pair it up with the 5150 OD and phaser, and an EVH guitar and you’ve got then sound. Playing the parts like Eddie are a different story, but the basic tone should be in the zone. I replaced another chorus pedal with this one and am amazed by the difference. It’s a great pedal that sounds good with anything you play through it.

Van Halen, Clapton, Summers, Lifeson...
The best players always have a unique tone that retains clarity and warmth. They used the era's most sophisticated rack technology not to emulate another player's sound, but to enhance their own unique voice. This chorus does a great job of helping you enhance the bite and clarity of your tone, as well as put some shimmer on your sizzle. Not a pedal for weird noises, but a professional unit that focusses on the magic of a slower rate. The clipping light and switches to select input and output levels are thoughtful additions. It's a great find. You won't be able to explain why you want to keep it on all the time.

Whether you are going for the EVH "Pretty Woman" sound or likes of EVH Chorus effect, you can't go wrong with MXR pedals.. Great for recreating some EVH tones or even creating your own sound. Even dial it back and run in front of your amp for some ambient or add wetness to your sound if you lack reverb.

I bought this to complete my new pedal board setup of all van halen signature effects, thinking it might just be so-so. But boy was I surprised when I plugged it in! It became everything I ever wanted in a chorus pedal.
