I was looking for a true Fuzz to delve into the world of Fuzz and I must say this first choice was a perfect idea. While it is not the perfect Fuzz, no Fuzz pedal is. THIS IS A NECESSARY FLAVOR!! I used to use the "fuzzy tone" in the RQD Palosades and wanted a standalone since that Palisades is still a screamer no matter how you tweak it. Next up, EQD Park fuzz for some TONE BENDING!!!

It’s a Fuzz Face and it sounds excellent. It’s a pedal that unless you aren’t at the 3 o’clock spot give or take, you won’t have enough volume compared to your clean or cleanish signal. However, some might find this a problem, but I never did. Because once you get past 3 o’clock on the dial you will have plenty of volume. If that is too much volume and/or Fuzz for your tastes, put a boost or a klon type pedal after the fuzz to give your lower volume fuzz a somewhat transparent boost. Bottom line: this a superb pedal with a variety of sounds but the sweet spot lies past 75% volume & fuzz.

Perfect mix between early Hendrix and Band of Gypsy's.
The fuzz is thick, but not a complete brown mess.
The pedal cleans up well with volume knob rolled down a few notches.
The volume works as a boost, so if you roll your volume down for rhythm it cleans up while keeping your signal close to unity. All you need to do is roll up the volume for a solo.
The smaller round face fuzz pedals take up much less space than the big classic dallas arbiter fuzzface with many improvements such as an AC adapter output that can be used with a one spot or power all multi-power supply and true bypass.
Reminder - nearly all artists well known for their fuzz sound put the fuzz in front of an amp that has at least a small amount of gain.

This is a nice tiny version of the real thing...but it sounds identical, and the battery lasts longer! Great Buy!!!
