BEST PEDAL EQ, EVEN FOR BASSISTS
By: Johnny Crab

Your general opinion of this product.
Normally used to EQ(or boost) line level from pedal board to amp. Pre/Post gain controls add a TON of flexibility letting you EQ a bass directly OR a line level signal.
Very well made, like a tank. It's been in my "toolbox" and in use for over 2 years.
Silent switching, LEDs on all sliders for dim stages AND to let you know when it's EQ'ing, and NOT a cheap switch(like some manufacturers)....this thing will outlast me.
Quiet and has enough low and mid frequencies to let it be very useful for bass.
Sliders are smooth, switch is quiet and firm.
Great layout and textured finish.
2+ years and hundreds of shows = no worries mate!

Just as vital as having a tuner.

Your general opinion of this product.
If you value your tone whatsoever, you need this as a permanent addition to your setup. Can't believe I went all this time without it. An invaluable tool that could take the best pedalboard in the world and make it sound better. I use it to not only craft my clean and distorted tones, but also as a boost of volume for both rhythm and leads.
Had mine for over 2 years now. No problems at all, but I also baby all of my equipment.
Mine stays on once I found a good balance between distortion and clean. Built like a tank, could easily double as a weapon.
If tone is your canvas, this is your main brush.
Your imagination is your only inhibitor in using this thing.
I got the KFK version and I get compliments on it (and my tone) all the time.
Like a champ!

Your general opinion of this product.
All the hype is true. This EQ allows you access to frequency ranges that most amps don't have.
Like a rock
I run it through the amps effect loop because it sounds best there. I tried it on the preamp side but it was noisy and didn't adjust the tones as dramatically.
Nice.
we will see

A Tone Freak's Best Friend

It's one of the better constructed pedals I've come across. Metal box, good finish, metal footswitch and jacks.
MXR pedals I've had in the past have held up very well and they have a good reputation.
Your general opinion of this product.
This stompbox would be a worthy addition to about any rig out there.
Feels good, easy to see. Heavy construction.
It can be adjusted to be bright, dark, louder, softer,or anywhere in between. I use it to get a louder clean on a 20watt tube head. More headroom and makes the amp more usable live with a drummer. The separate gain and volume are great in that respect. You could also use it to tame a 50 or 100 watter by raising the gain and lowering the volume. Shredders/Metal players can scoop mids and dial in chunk. Mine stays on connected to the amps effect loop.
It has a fine textured finish that's scratch resistant. Red led on each fader look neat and should help on a dark stage if any adjustment is needed. Nonskid rubber feet.
This pedal comes with its own 18v power supply[wall wart]. Anyone who has used a graphic eq[even for a stereo] should not have a problem. Connections are solid with good feel as is the footswitch. Faders for the eq section and gain/volume also feel good.

Built like a tank.
I've owned one for over a year now with no problems. It gets packed, set up and played weekly.
Your general opinion of this product.
Great
Heavy for its size.
Tough finish.
Sliders have plenty of resistance to hold settings when packed away and foot switch is responsive and rugged.

Very Well made.
Tough as nails, road ready and durable, the pedal is built to last years and years of on-stage or rehearsal stomping.
Your general opinion of this product.
The MXR M108 Ten Band Equalizer Pedal is your best bet to clean up your guitar tone, and add a little chunk, mids, or high's to your overall sound.
Playability is great, hook on to your chain and go, be sure to do research and mess around with where you place the pedal in your chain gang!!! Or you may end up putting blame on the pedal out of ignorance.
Crystal clear, bright and snappy, or dark and smooth.. the choice is yours with MXR 10 band!
The cosmetics of the pedal was mint out of the box.
The action is terrific, very quick, and clear.

I have only had this a few weeks, so I can't address reliability. It's always plugged in when I play, so it's getting a lot of use.
Your general opinion of this product.
Overall, I'm very pleased. I always thought my amp (Trademark 60) got me 90% "there." I wanted just a little more of a sweet, sustaining treble though. I run this EQ pedal in the effects loop and get the sound I always wanted.
Response is immediate. I sense no lag/delay when I strike a note.
Finish is first rate. The paint is thick and firmly attached. You'd need a grinder to get some of it off.
Action feels solid and dependable. The lighted EQ sliders are easy to see and adjust.

Well made product. I highly recomend this EQ to boost your tube amp sound. I didn't bought a tube amp to add a distortion pedal to it to make it sound heavier come on. That's my opinion, I respect the people that dislikes tube amps.

Beef up your distortion, or add a little to your c

Your general opinion of this product.
QUALITY:
Great, never had a problem. I'll probably die before it does. 5
FEATURES:
10 band eq. As far as eq's go, it's got it all 5
EASE OF USE:
Um, well that depends on the user. Hint, start at the middle and work down. 5
VALUE:
A little pricey, but considering there is nothing on the market to compare it to. 5
SOUND:
Amazing. Considering most musicians I've meet don't know how to use an eq, here's a tip. If you turn anything up past the middle, you will have noise and probably feedback. For your ears sake be careful. I love it. In front of my distortion, and after. 5
