The MXR Mini Dyna Comp is extremely small, which lends itself for use on a crowded pedal board. With only two dials, it is also fairly simple to tune in. That said, as one who has tried many compressor pedals, it will not please everyone. For those who like a pronounced compressed sound, this pedal is not for you. For those who want a very transparent sound, the Mini Dyna Comp is perfect for you. As with most effects, certain guitars sound great through them, and some not so much. I find this compressor to work best only with specific guitars/pickups. I suggest trying it if a friend owns one before buying it yourself.

Wasn't sure I need a compressor or not. Most video reviews of compressors I simply can't hear the difference. After researching several, I think this is the most bang for the buck. I probaly have it set up mostly for a clean boost, but it boosts the drive just fine. Have it set at one o'clock for the output, and merely nine o'clock for the instnsity with a slow attack, and I seem to like it fine just like that. Not to complicated and I think that's what I like best about it.

Again, with Dunlop-MXR you get quality build and great tone. The mini pedal built to take on a busy gigging and touring musician has the perfect size to fit on your already crowded pedalboard (who says that a compressor has to be the same size as other FX?), but does not sacrifice the rich harmonics and consistent tone expected from MXR. Will never disappoint when turned on, transparent with just the right amount of compression needed for your situation. Get one you'll be happy you did.
