The green Russian is in my opinion the king of big muff reissues. It goes everywhere from a nice overdrive type tone to full on crushing fuzz. As the saying goes "Follow the smoke to the riff filled land"

This is my favorite big muff hands down! Sustain for days, velcro flavored low end and mids that shine through the mix without any muddiness. The forward mids on the Russian big muff was the big selling point for me. I've owned 3 of the other EHX muff variations and the mids were lacking IMO. If you're looking to purchase a Big Muff, this one is your best bang for the money!

My favorite classic fuzz pedal for guitar and bass. A true staple of rock history. I will always have this on my bass pedal board. The controls are very straight forward and always get me the fuzz tone I'm after. Just go ahead and buy it!

This pedal is, in my opinion, one of the best muff pedals on the market. Got it because the bass player P-Nut from 311 uses it (you can hear it on the song Hydroponic for example). Great product and great price!

Love this pedal is great in my rig. It's smooth not as grainy as my original Big Muff sweet sustain really sings. I use a Reeves Custom 50 a Hiwatt clone to really try to nail that Gilmour tone. I would suggest a good gate as with any gain pedal my next purchase will be a new gate my old one seems to be crapping out. But this pedal a Univibe with delay and I have become comfortably numb.

The crunch and distortion is just where I like it -- still very possible to hear tones and manipulate how they sound. In other words, the Muff lets me dictate to a greater degree than I thought it would. As a blues player, that's very good news.

If you are looking for a Muff that does not lose lows this is it. It can get crazy over the top Fuzzy and still have a ton of bottom end . If it only had a gate it would be perfect

A tribute to the beloved Sovtek “Green Russian” Big Muff Pi without breaking the bank. Sounds good no matter where you put the settings and carries a versatile range of fuzz goodness. As close to boutique on a budget as you will find. This reissue is a bargain. Very pleased with my purchase.

EHX delivers here, sweet distortion and infinite sustain, in abundance! Was looking for a less, ear-screeching, grating fuzz than Fulltone Soul Bender.
By the way, Fulltone's OCD is an excellent item too. Hey, Robin Trower likes it.
The Russian (olive green) Big Muff Pi rates a 99%+. I am supremely pleased with its tone & duration.
Think Carlos Santana as a touchstone idea of what Pi does. Then, you adjust this pedal to express how you're thinking.

This thing is loud and heavy! Can be bassy, but easily tamed. Not sure how close it is to the original, but I like that it's not quite as scooped sounding compared to the other current Big Muff offerings. If you like different flavors of Muffs, try this one on for size.
