This is a fantastic drive pedal that gives you a lot of tonal options to dial in the nastiest of drives or a nice boosted tone to just add a touch more of what you have already. I really like both sides of this pedal and they also work very well together also. Great Job EHX.

Great sounding overdrive and fuzz tones in one compact unit. It’s awesome because you can set up both pedals separately or use them together to drive your amp over the top. Works great in the front end of a tube amp.

The crayon side can get very heavy when cranked up. Hot tubes side can act as a boost or mild overdrive. Combined, they leave blisters in the paint. Having this pedal has allowed me to have a full pallet of tones.

The EH Hot Wax delivers the sound and controls that I have been seeking since I started playing rock music in 1968. I have tried many different pedals and amps, but this one finally delivered.

Hot wax. Pretty slick. Apply it creamy, or go ahead and melt faces. This replaced an 808 and a Dyna Drive on my board. Great range and tone, it gives me what I want and more. A daily driver! AMS did me right again... they get five stars, too!

This thing is great. Almost infinite adjustment and the tones are awesome. Still finding new tones the more I tweak it. Have not found any bad tones yet. It’s like having three overdrives stuffed into one compact pedal.

Love the tones of this pedal. The Hot Tubes side is my favorite, with humbuckers or single coil. Everything from warm growls to bright bites with this. It also sounds amazing with a bass.

I like it esp the crayon side with my tele. The tube side tends to be a little harsh. I am sure I just need to figure out the settings I need to get the tone I'm looking for out of it. Stacking the two channels, there is a lot of variables from mild to wild.
