The EV EKX12p is compact with a lot of sound. I bought the EKX15P last year and it was time to upgrade my inventory from the ZLX12P. All I can say is wow. The first time I used it was for a monitor on a stage. It was a lot of power. The second time was for a grand opening for about 200 people. The speakers handled it with no problem. I would recommend these speakers. I've been using EV speakers since 2013 and some of the speakers from 2013 I still have and using them on a regular.

On my Third Speaker, planning to get at least 4 of these TOPS. One of EVs Best Speakers and all about Portability. Connect these with a SUB & your in BUSINESS!!! WHAT I do like is AmericanMuscialSupply does have a Package Deal with the Speaker Covers with this SPEAKER, so don't be CHEAP & GET THE SPEAKER COVER. Gets the JOB done!!!! Had these speakers for over a YEAR now & great INVESTMENT!!!

The reason i gave a review of 5 star is that the speakers puts out a clarifying sound and this set makes my setup complete,i own the set of 15inch EKX, and the set of 18inch EKX Subs,i can now switch up on different venues,a great pair of speakers.I would recommend this product.

These speakers are lightweight for convenience of handling. Wish they had handle on top of speaker. First rate quality sound. Have owned these speakers for just under two months but huge difference in over-all band sound. Absolutely love these speakers. Purchased the matching 15" substoo.

The EKX line up is beautifully priced, with high quality sound! No kidding either! I honestly thought they would be a bit heavier but nope I can lug these around all day (but I wouldn’t recommended it haha) you pair these up with an 18p EKX sub and you are set for small to medium sized events that trio pack one hell of a punch! Now for bigger events you will def need more than just 1 EKX sub.

I’ve had these speakers for about a week and have definitely put them through their paces. I bought them to add to my DJ setup as an upgrade for some QSC speakers and they have more than satisfied me. They are much more powerful and lighter than my old speakers.

LIGHT WEIGHT POWERFUL FOR MIDDLE AND SMALL EVENT. MY SON IS A DJ IN WASHINGTON DC AREA. IDID BACKYARD COOKOUT AND THE POLICE SAID TURN IN DOWN, SETTING WAS AT 9 OCLOCK STRONG CLEAN SOUND WITH TWO TOPS AND TWO EV 200 SUBWOOFERS. I have used several wooden enclosures in this price bracket and was blown away at the response right when I plugged them in. Using a digital board, I was able to dial them in within about 2 minutes with minimal adjustments to the actual DSP on the back of the enclosure. These boxes carry so far too! If you're looking for a serious powered enclosure, pay the premium and also work with the guys at AMS! I had zero interest in buying anything when I initially called but the sales rep went so far in depth with the speakers that I went ahead and bought them on the spot!

The ekx is a little heavier than the zlx. But that is because you can notice the sound difference. Also 1500 watts is alot. Actually you dont need to turn halfway specially on small indoor gigs about 100-200 people. My suggestion get a good mixer and it will make a big difference. If you want more low end specially if you do djing, get a subwoofer..

These are outstanding units. Is so pure and powerful, yet clean and loud. They are simply amazing. The preset mode is a handy thing to have and the digital readout and controls are very easy to navigate. I bought a pair and I do not regret it at all. They are the best speakers that I've ever heard. Crisp and clear. I plug my Headrush Pedalboard to them, in stereo, and I was quite surprised at the result. The overall sound was way better than I expected it to be. I'm very happy with them. Get it, you won't regret it. At 3000 watts, I kill & sound better that most rigs out there!!!

So far so good. I am very impressed by these. I honestly can say qsc will have to step up with their k-line. I have k12'seen &k10'so I will be moving over to the ekx line . Ev hit it out of the ballpark.
