So...With so many great powered speakers on the market . It’s nice to see that there is still a market for a passive speaker. The reason I chose the EV EKX18S from AMS, was because I do a lot of outdoor events, in the blazing hot sun. I’ve worked with many powered systems, while most powered systems work and sound great, they do have a tendency to “thermal “ out. To me, it’s so much easier to keep a rack of amps cool, as to “shading “ every powered speaker. As far as the EKX18S performance goes, I did a small concert where I coupled 4 EKX18S in the center of the stage. I was impressed. Solid kick drum...Strong Tight Bass...Easy to get great output out of them. Although you can’t get the output you can from a true Professional Subwoofer, ( RCF-L acoustic-Meyer -etc). They do work well. Once again,
If you’re looking for a decent passive Subwoofer, the EV EKX18S through AMS, would be a great choice to consider.

Great quality and sound. Easy to move and store due to size and weight but packs a big punch where sound is concerned.
