With 15+ years of sound experience, I can say that there is nothing more filling than an EV subwoofer. These produce such warm low end that simply sounds amazing. This isn’t just loudness, it’s actual music these subs make. The build quality is to par with the ETX line that EV has created and simply is the best. Paired with AMS customer service and amazing line, this is truly a purchase that is worth from beginning to end!

These subs have a very professional look. They match up perfectly with the other electro voice speakers. I love that they already have caster wheels attached to them. No need for a dolly. They sound punchy and add the right amount of fullness to your PA. no muddiness at all. I love the onboard controls in the back of the sub very user friendly! I have high expectations but I have to tell you, I was so surprised! they sound amazing!

I pair 1 of these 18sp with 2 EV zlx 15p, and wow!!! Can handle parties over 300 no problem. The dsp on the back is simple and can be edited to your preferences. The sub makes my zlx 15p job a lot easier. Great clear sound, bass response you can feel, which is what you want in an 18 inch sub. Next move is upgrading my tops to the ETX series. Then I should be able to rock 500+ crowds!!!

If you are not doing big crowds of 300+ you might not need this, but if you are, there is none better on there market! Easy set-up! Besides the large size there is nothing to dislike about this baby! Overall it’s a good subwoofer. It sounds great when you are not beating it that hard. I noticed it clips when u pound on it hard. I use it for weddings only cos they don’t need that loud sound. So I will give it a 4.

Bought six of these 2 1/2 years ago, for live work. Use them in various configurations with up to 4 QSC KLA12's. Astonishing power, depth, and clarity, best I've ever used, and I've been mixing live for 40 years. The cardioid feature is just uncanny, and is soooo affective in removing the bass "wash" from the stage. That feature alone makes them worth it, but they also sound incredible. Best bang-for-the-buck in subs....period. One last note....they're not light (but thankfully they're on wheels). Tip: get the covers.

This sub is by far the best subwoofer I've heard, without spending A LOT of $$$. Ive owned these for a few years now and the hold um amazingly. The on-board DSP will ensure you'll always get amazing sound AND protection against thermal and limiting. If you're on the fence, BUY THEM!

This is a great subwoofer, you get a clean crisp bass, you feel the bass more than you hear it, and the entire box doesn't vibrate or shake that much. It is so loud that I played in my garage and my neighbor called to tell me things in his house was falling down, and it was only turned half way. Its very portable. Wheels move so easy, my wife's three year old brother was moving it by himself. It hurts my chest when I get too close to it and the bass is so clean, I definitely recommend getting this. Not for small spaces, as it would be too loud.

I have been doing live sound and DJing for 26 years. I've tried all types of subs from QSC KW181, Yorkville 801P just to name a few. I actually did a comparison w/ the EV ETX vs the QSC KW181 & then The EV ETX vs the Yorkville 801P. The ETX out played the QSC with minimum effort. The Yorkville came close but the ETX have a cleaner sound and a smoother and deeper bass. If anyone have any questions don't hesitate to email me.

In past, ive been using EV live x 18's (two) for my larger gigs (school gyms large halls) and they were good but seemed to be peaking. Recently started using these badboy etx-18's (2) and overall deep bass is amazing! Wow! Set at 0 decibals on display and single channel knobs were at a safe 12 0'clock. Deep bass during hip hop set and sharp clear bass when we switched to pop music. Love these speakers and glad EV installed removable wheels. The enclosure is HUGE and Heavy But unstandable that the 2000 watt wood cabs need to hold all that power. My live x subs are about half the size and half the weight but no casters.

I have been using two EV ELX118p subs, tried this one all by itself and it replaces the two. Fits in the back of my Durango with four ELX 12p. Worth every dime. I prefer EV because it has a much warmer sound than it's over priced competitors.
