Outstanding. Good enough for Joe Bonamassa is good enough for me :-)
Initial impression of construction and performance is that these are as indestructible as advertised. Installation was a snap.
Louder. These are said to be more efficient than most speakers and I find that true. My amp is working less (vol knob is lower) to get same volume.
Maybe just a touch brighter than the Celestions they replaced. Easy to find a good tone using my amps controls.

These are awesome. Get them if you can afford it. You'll never need speakers again. Bass sounds good through a pair or more of these too. Takes a little while longer to break in than a run-of-the-mill speaker, so don't worry. It will blossom.

I have tried almost every speaker & speaker combination out there. These speakers sound fantastic all by themselves. Everything you could want in a speaker is here, crisp articulate tone, tight lows, crisp non-shrill high's, great midrange detail. Now I can see why Joe B uses them.

This thing weighs 16lbs.I put it in my Ampeg"Reverberocket".50W all tube guitar amp.It's taken a really fine sounding tone machine and turned it into pure TONE.I didn't think a speaker could make this much MOJO.Clean to cream it's amazing.
I just got it,but you can just tell it's gonna make the trip.

I've not heard this sound since the 60's,yeah,I'm that old,but I know what sounds good.EV did good by bringing this speaker back.They did good.

The tone's what it's all about.It's bright and snappy and dark and smooth.I can get any sound I want.It's responsive to pick attack and finger touch.and it will only get better as it breaks in and ages.Can't lose.
Looks good,I guess,for a big speaker.
