Soooo…..after going around and around about what to get my husband for his birthday, I decided to surprise him with Evolve 50. After ordering, it arrived the NEXT day!! I told my husband I was expecting a package so look out for it; hoping that the name would not be on the box. Welp..that wasn’t the case. I was not home when the package arrived. When it was delivered, my husband saw the name on the box. He told me his heart started beating fast and he was like what is this!! He thought that maybe it was delivered by error and in his head he said start the car! Start the car! After calming down, he realized it was his birthday gift and when I text him asking if my package arrived, he sent me a dancing baby emoji. Needless to say, he can’t open his gift until his birthday ??

Obviously these are not meant for large venues, but if you are working bars and weddings with less than 150 people, you won’t be disappointed.
They sound great, easy to move and set up. They have a lot of flexibility with how you need to set up the room. Most of the time we can use them without monitors as they have good coverage without feedback. I would buy them again.

This speaker system is amazing easy to set up, amazing sound, quality built. EV has been among the standards when it comes to speakers for live musicians as well as us DJS and this system doesn't disappoint. The sound is evenly dispersed and can hear clearly when standing behind them and thats great for when not able to use a monitor, having a sub and array separately is not only great for transport but looks really clean and professional. The 3 channel mixer is great for live musicians and the mix out is nice to just have to plug instruments in one system and link it to another or daisy chaining multiple systems together. I love taking this to my gigs and just hearing how powerful clear and amazing it gets the job done, 2 sets can handle up to 100 - 150 guest

I am a mobile dj of 20+ years and was very skeptical of these speakers could perform well for gigs mainly weddings. I used them for a wedding of 150 people and they performed exceptionally well. The sound is focused on the dance floor which gave guests that wanted to sit and chit chat the capacity to do so. They can integrate with other speakers or a sub if you need more bass. I chose the white system for the esthetics of weddings paired with a white facade the compliments of the sound quality and how good they look have secured me more bookings in the 3x’s I’ve used them so far.

When I tell you these are the best pair of speakers I've ever owned. I've used JBL,Samson,Behringer, in my life time but nothing comes close to my pair of Evolve 50. The Style the power that they put out is something else. The sound is crisp and clear, when I first the thought about getting them I passed them up going to get a band I was use to. Than a year later found out that I made a mistake. One day while in Guitar Center as I always make a b-line to sound section, you could feel the floor vibrate. It was Evolve 30 playing just the one side. I knew then I had to get a pair of the 50's and I've never looked back. I do small events as well as large events with my set. I went with something funky this time around got one black and one in white to create that unity thang and transportation of these speakers are easy. Getting one is fine but just thinking about how two would sound with double the power.

The sound is so crisp and clear. It’s the easiest to set up and take down. They fit in my Honda Civic so easy, so I can do multiple events from my gas saving sedan. I love that I can connect my phone for easy streaming when necessary all while having my controller and other connections to the speaker. The bass could be a little bit more ground shaking but that’s not an issue at all. I hope these last me for the rest of my life.

The sound quality is amazing and it arrived quickly! This column speaker set is by far the best product on the market! I’ve tried many other brands in the past. The others produced a shallow sound or no bass.
This set produces a rich tone and blends well in even hard to DJ areas with bad amplification like Gyms.
I’m also a small 5’ 2” female DJ and this is the perfect set up for me to transport all by myself!

I use my EV Evolve 50 for many applications, DJing weddings, hosting Karaoke outdoor movie nights and it's been a great fit everywhere I use it. I am very pleased and I am going to buy a 2nd evolve 50 just so I have one on each side of my DJ Booth and its symmetrical. I love that it has an app and blutooth, and that it comes with a carrying case for the top part. It would be even better if it included the case for the bottom part too instead of charging $200 for it.

So I have been a DJ for over 30 years. I invest a lot In my sound and lighting. I first bought the turbo sound ip2000. I actually loved the system especially the surprising 12” sub. Amazing bass that is delivers but I had a terrible time hearing the highs and mids while stand onside or slightly behind the speakers. I always carried extra monitors with me for that reason. That kind of defeated the purpose of trying to be portable. The Evolves solved that problem. The clarity is amazing. I can also hear the highs easily with the speakers on each side of me. Definitely my go to system for wedding gigs.

I had the QSC k12.2 with subs. It was a great system but the overall sound quality when playing classical type music during ceremonys was not there. The EVOLVE 50's blow them away in sound quality! I've gotten nothing but compliments! And I purchased the white version, extremely elegant looking.
Only cons is they may not have the throw distance for parties like the K12.2, I'd say if you have 300 or more it may not get to the back of the room other then that I've rocked 200-250 people and it sounds amazing!

I am a singer, my presentations gravitate around the 50's era, the Sinatra type of thing, and I do it with high quality tracks: the big-band ensemble. I also play a few bossa nova's with my acoustic, nylon guitar, I sing mostly for an upscale crowds, where sound quality is key. The beauty of my pair of evolves is that while powerful, the sound is pristine, the soundtrack orchestra is alive, the room is filled with a beautiful sound, and guests are energized, but they can still talk, and hear! The sound is omnipresent but not intrusive. So when the event comes to an end, I am just thrilled and humbled with so many complements. And I presume to sing quite well, yes, but once the notes leave the speaker, it's the real deal. I used to have the EV ZLX, two speakers and a sub-woofer, great sound, lots of things to carry. But with evolve i have more quality and no back pain.

I was fairly worried about the EV 50,as column arrays don't really throw sound as well as a traditional speaker but once i unboxed it and set it up i was completely blown away! I did a sound test and could hear everything clear from the back of a fairly large ballroom with people in it! Its so quick to set up, litterally 5 seconds and you're ready to rock. If you're unsure about getting a pair, do it. You won't be sorry!

I've always been an EV guy..but it took me awhile to get up the courage to go with a compact line array setup. I haven't regretted it so far. These things are very easy to set up and get the party rocking. Not to mention they sound amazing. They lack a little bit of low end but I just add to ZLX 12" subs and it not only raises the height but accents the bass signal perfectly for bigger venues and larger amounts of people.

So I was amazed how good they sound when I got them. I used them to run my live band. So the people was able to stand in front of them with out getting blown away but still was able to hit the back of the room hard. They very clear. The best part was the breakdown. 20 seconds to pack it up. I highly recommend them if you a DJ or a band that want some big sound without all the bulk.

The Ev Evovle 50 has blown me away in terms of how much sound you get in a single array. The low end is deep and punchy, but clear. The highs are crisp and clean without distortion. It's very lightweight compared to buying a 12" speaker and a 15" subwoofer of ANY other brand (including EV powered speakers). It's also very easy to set up at your events. Literally takes about 2 minutes to plug in, connect, and start playing. If this is in your price range, buy it!

I've always been an EV man, but I was a bit surprised at the cost... That was until I heard them. My previous clients have all commented on how good the arrays sound in such a small package. Not that the sound was subpar from EV before. But this is a new level! Absolutely fantastic setup.

Theses are the best speakers I’ve ever owned I use them for a 4 piece band Amazing sound so light easy to set up and the amazing thump from the bass I even used them for a huge bar and they were rocking. My set up went fro 1 hour to 15 min. And the app to run my speakers with my phone is great. I recommend buying this speaker.

It was debate between the Evolve 50 and RCF's offering and went with EV after doing some research. Set these up and room calibrated in a small commercial lounge shop with very great results. It is very intelligible in a quiet setting and when we need to open it up on private parties it delivers the goods and then some.

I’ve owned the original Bose L1 and the newer one.
Both are great but I like this EV even more.
It’s even easier to setup and tear down and I has some awesome punch.

I own QsC K12s and Turbosound Sub and absolutely love them. However, it gets too heavy. So I purchased a pair of the Evolve 50 and boy oh boy....how amazing!!!! They have an amazing punch bass. Setup in less than 5 mins. Also Bluetooth capable. And easy settings. Great for 200-250 ppl with no problem.

The Evolve 50 is excellent and amazing. I tested it, at the same time, against practically every contender, same audio sources, along with 2 discerning, respected, and brutally honest musician/techs. Of course each system has it's strong points, but the bottom line is that the Evolve 50 covered every base they did, with power to spare. I've used it loud and soft, large and small, in indoor and outdoor environments, and it's always amazed myself and the audience. Tech Magic. I couldn't be more happy for the EV's. My 1st use was an event of 400 people in a large room. The sound was crystal clear in any part of the room. The bass was very rich. Setup was quick and easy. I love that you have control via an app and the bluetooth feature is just one of the many features that make this well worth the investment.

This system is worth every penny, the Bluetooth option is great and I really really love the EV app to control the system, so many compliments on the system and questions about it which I’m more than happy to answer. I’m still in awe when I use the system. Compact and powerful. I was using 2 ZLX15’s & 1 ETX 18. You can’t go wrong with Electro Voice. It’s feels good to have the option between both EV systems.

I usually take some ample time before I make a purchase of this magnitude. As a Dj, I am very particular with the equipment that I purchase. Two years ago I purchased the ETK series from EV and was impressed with those. As the industry changes I wanted to invest in something more sleek, modern, clean. It is easy to make a pretty speaker but one that packs a punch???? Intro the EV Evolve (white). These speakers are quite AMAZING. I was excited to start to use them right away. They arrived on a Thursday and were in use for an event the day after. I was so impressed at how clear, and sharp the sound quality was on these speakers. I reached out to colleague of mine who I usually go back and forth with in regards to equipment and told him that I co-sign these speakers to the utmost. The ease of set-up and breakdown, using the app to control multiple speakers (yes I have borrowed my colleagues speakers to have 4 speaker set-up). Bought a pair of these for occasional back-yard evening and small to medium size parties - I've heard EV speakers at many public events on a much larger scale and always been very impressed. The EV-50s are perfect for my application and have significantly exceeded my expectations. Buy these if you want LOUD, high quality sound - Blue tooth is stable and is a definite plus along with the high quality covers they supply for the pole mounted speakers.

After 6 months of researching sound systems I finally decided to go with Evolve 50, boy was it a great choice! This is certainly a great sounding all in one speaker and has allowed me to scale down to just this one system. The only drawback for me is the weight of the subwoofer which feels every bit of 40lbs. The unit is solid, with a crisp clear sound from top to bottom. I have no problem filling a room during my workshops with 100 to 150 people. Most of the time I use a portable cart to roll the unit around, I really can’t see myself carrying this unit around for long periods of time, because the subwoofer has a bit of weight. If you’re looking for a solid sound system with a great all around sound, easy to connect Bluetooth that’s actually really stable, the Evolve 50 will certainly fit your needs.

I am very impressed by this system. It is small. It is loud and the sound quality is very good. I was surprised by how loud we were able to run the system and never came close to clipping. I used two Evolve 50's with a 4 piece band and the system, with its super wide dispersion of sound, filled the entire room and made mixing easy and fun. The system produces a good amount of low end as well. This is a great system and compares favorably to the other small line array systems I have heard.

I used a pair of the Evolve50's for a wedding gig at a good-sized community center - similar in size to most hotel ballrooms, maybe a bit bigger, with a high ceiling - and they did not disappoint. Crowd size was right around 300. I had a full 4-piece rock band running thru them for a couple hours and then DJ'd the rest of the night. The Evolve systems received a lot of attention and many compliments from attendees concerning both looks and sound quality. The low-end response is impressive compared to similar models and the top end is very crisp and clean. I was also pleasantly surprised at how much volume I could push while DJ'ing later in the night without any worry or signs of clipping, all while sounding great! The app is both useful and incredibly easy to use (and FREE!). Set up and tear down is even easier. If you're looking for an easy, full-sounding portable line array PA, Evolve50 is the way to go!

These speakers are great and I love how convenient they are to set up, but I keep hearing that they are great for 200+ person events and NO they are not. These are great for 100 people or less events and really bump. Too many bodies will absorb the sound! The app that controls the speakers is amazing and very convenient especially if your speakers are clipping. They are worth it and get them, but I am giving it 4 stars because they are too hyped for bigger events and won't work great. Love them though!
