I finally took the plunge and tried elixir strains and I’ll never go back to playing any others. I got so tired of having to change my strings frequently because they’d lose their sound and become dull. These sound great and I can easily get 3-4 gigs out of these strings before I have to change them, where as with others I was changing them after every gig. They’re well worth the money, check them out!

I think they are very good especially if you have played for some time like me, after 11 years of experience with acoustic guitars I know how to define quality. If you are a beginner this strong will help you a lot in your evolution because the sound is well defined in additional to being softer, provider easier playing.

Threw em on my parlor acoustic, was looking for some different sounds and these definitely came through for a win. Gives my parlor a bit more on the bass end. I wish they were a little lower in price, but you get what you pay for in most cases. Strung em up < 2 months ago and haven't looked back.

Been using these strings for many years. Would never consider anything else. If you hate constant string changes and like smoother chording, these are perfect. Each set can last months. They clean up easier too!

I purchased 2 sets of these strings and couldn't be more pleased. I have used Ernie Ball strings for 45 years but these are even better. Once you get the stretch out of them they settle into an awesome sound and playability. I bought the thinnest version of these strings so I can bend the life out of them. They stay in tune and haven't broken. Would recommend to any guitarist who want an awesome set of strings.????

Elixir "Nanoweb" strings, have an incredibly resilient coating which seals the 80/20 alloy string surface from contact with your fingers. Which many of you know, will impart oils, impurities & corrosive compounds to the surface of your strings. This is the primary reason of string wear & tone loss.
Elixir "Nanoweb" strings, have resolved this issue (for the most part) by applying an extremely resilient coating to the surface of these strings.
In my use of them, I have found an extremely long life added to these strings (on average, twice as long as non-coated strings). This, in addition to the even tone over their life, makes them almost the perfect string for guitars that you don't play as often or if you just want a more even tone, even after changing strings.
Give them a try, you'll see what I mean. They are a bit pricey, but, you'll get that back in their longevity.

I have tried just about every string over the past 25 years. The Elixir Nanoweb 80/20 out performs them all. they have less string noise, they stay clear and clean longer than any other string, and they bring out the true tone of my guitar, which I have had since it was new in 1994. I play an all solid wood Larrivee, L-09. It is 22 years old now. It is sounding great with Nanoweb strings.

Long, long time Elixir user. For years ran 12-53 on all my acoustics. Recently began gigging again and found a 2 hour gig with 12's was hard to deal with. Slapped a set of these 10's on and what a difference. No more hand pain. Super easy bends on leads. A little floppy when doing alt tunings but just change my playing style to accommodate. These will only be used on my gig acoustic. For recording I will still use 12's on my other axes.

Last a long time if you don't break a string. I had one set on an acoustic for 8 months before finally changing them.

I play a Morgan Monroe Jumbo Cutaway. I've been using the Custom Lights for several years and have been very happy. Over the past 6 months I have tried at least a dozen other strings to try to save on the cost. None have had the tone or have lasted like Elixir. I am not great about wiping down my strings after playing and found that most other strings were dead a day after a single rehearsal. I have used a single set of elixirs for as much as six months under the same conditions and they still sounded great.
Very nice feel. The coating does not interfere with the feel of the string.
Very bright. If you are looking for a little more mellow tone then you may want to try the Poly's. I have used both and they are equal in quality.

I have had one set in the past that the "G" string didn't sound as bright as it should have. Other than that these have been great. As I mentioned I prefer the custom lights that I feel provide a little more bottom end.

I started using these on an upper-end Alvarez that I bought. After trying out every brand I knew of, I couldn't get the tone as good as it had been when I bought it, so I asked the dealer what they used from factory. These Custom Lights were it. Even the more expensive Cleartones lacked the harmonics and luster

Some think they sound a bit bright, but I don't have any problem with them. The harmonics are sweet. I think maybe people are just used to NOT hearing harmonics.
Even after six months on the guitar, the Nano coating doesn't peel or flake. They look great!
The custom-light set is very playable. Normally I'd go for mediums, but these lack nothing in tone, and are lighter, easier to play.
