Had this speaker recommended to me and could not be happier with the choice. Put it in a Blackstar 1x12 cab and I love the sound. I wasn't sure if the hemp cone would make enough difference to even notice, but it does!!!

Perfect Match for Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue

This replaced the stock speaker. After breaking it in, the sound is warmer, more articulate with excellent dynamics. It can go from nice cleans to heavy depending on your touch. Love the sound at the edge of breakup. Got rid of the thin sound of the stock speaker and the mids cleaned up nicely. Recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade their stock speaker. I’ve had it installed for 6 months now, and couldn’t be happier.

Great Speaker

I bought this for a 112 cabinet that originally had ‘63 Jensen in it. The Jensen was shrill and completely lacking miss and bass. I read dozens of reviews and they all said if you’re using a Fender or Fender clone, this was the speaker to use. They weren’t wrong. Driving it with a Joyo Bluebird it sounds rich, full and can get incredibly loud! I can’t wait to finish building my Princeton clone. If you’re in the market for 12” driver that sounds great (even at low volume) but can rattle the windows and doesn’t cost a small fortune,
You can’t go wrong with the Cannabis Rex from Eminence! As an added benefit it’s a USA made speaker.

Warmth and clarity

I installed the cannabis rex in my fender hot rod deluxe iv and it immediately added warmth and clarity even without any break in period. It's only gotten better since and after a short while I believe it's fully broken in. I've had much longer break in periods on other speakers and without the immediate improvements. Over all I'm very happy I chose this speaker. I mostly play jazz, blues and blues rock styles and its been superb for that application.

I have an original Fender Blues Jr. I decided to upgrade certain things and speaker replacement was first on my list.
I spent several hours online reading different Top 5 and Top 10 speaker replacements. The Cannabis Rex was in the top 3 on every list!
After I received the speaker, I was very anxious to install it and see if it stood up the all the hype.....and it did!
I recorded the original speaker on my iPhone and recorded with the Cannabis Rex. With the Cannabis Rex, my amp seemed to open up and breath better.
No regrets with this upgrade.

I bought this to put in a Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue and I'm really happy with it so far. It has a tight low end, more controlled mids and tames those ice pick highs without losing the beautiful Fender clean sound. I play both a Tele and a Les Paul, with and without overdrive, and so far this speaker sounds great no matter what I throw at it. Try it Mikey, you'll like it.

This speaker serves as the replacement to many stock speakers in my amp collection. Works perfectly in a Blues Jr. for extra warmth and taming those high end pitches.

I was knee deep in reviews on more pricey boutique hemp cone speakers and this model popped up on the radar, heard nothing but good things so why not try it for the price? Amazing! I paired it with an existing greenback in a 2x12 Dr Z combo and it was perfect. It smoothed out the infamous high end of these amps and brought a rounder/warmer tone to the table. Can’t recommend these enough!

Decided on the Cannabis Rex to replace the mediocre speaker that came in the Fender Champion 40. I had tested other speakers that I have had- 2 different Peavey's to first confirm it was the Fender speaker, and certainly was. Getting the Fender speaker out was challenging as they use some sort of lock tite on the nut and bolt. Once the Cannibis Rex was in and I turned the amp on, I immediately confirmed that I made the right decision on this speaker. Using my 1990 American Tele, got a full body sound in clean channel without being too bright and the tweed, black-face and bassman voices in channel 2 are awesome. If you have the Champion 40, do yourself a favor and upgrade the speaker and the Cannibis Rex is an excellent choice for the upgrade.

Got tired of fighting with my Marshall DSL40C combo for tone. Pulled the Celestion seventy 80 out and put in one of these. Left the setting the same (best I was able to get out of the Celestion) and there it was, the tone I was looking for. Very smooth break up on this speaker. Beautiful tone. Time to start loading at least one of my 412s now.

Just received it but it should last.
Your general opinion of this product.
Very efficient speaker. Plays just a little louder than my JBL D120 that I matched it up with. Tone Tubby makes a BOMB cab that has a ceramic and alnico speaker in the cab. The 2 complement each other well. JBL is a bit mellower and the Rex adds some brightness without shrillness.
Good sound. Will know more after a break-in period. I have some Tone Tubbys also and these are close.
Nice overall tone.
Good quality.
Very efficient.

very solid. everything fits, quality control is excellent
I just got it, but it is an Eminence speaker, after all
Your general opinion of this product.
I bought it to replace the original speaker in my older Fender Champ 12. I was hoping that the specs were right and the SPL rating was accurate, because I want to squeeze every bit of tube-soaked volume out of the amp. It is noticeably louder and way tighter than the old speaker.
great, tight response. handles overdrive very well. clean is a dream
a bit darker and smoother than the orignal speaker
first-rate
screw it in, hook it up, light up the tubes. Presto! Magnifico!
