I love the fatso as a tracking tools. I use it at the end of my chain on vocals, bass, kick, snare and overheads. The warmth setting is great for taming the hi end and the tranny is great for adding harmonics to the low end. I like to use it subtlety but it can also be abused with great results.

From subtle to over-the-top harmonics the Empirical Labs Fatso EL7x never sounds bad. It's not just "the glue", it's the right kind of glue. And, I promise you, once you use one of these, on any source, you won't be able to live without it. My only complaint... I only have one. Luckily AMS makes it easy enough for me to get another one and pay over time! Thanks guys!
