This was my first guitar. I’ve had it for four years now and it’s been great for me as a beginner. As I have become a more skilled player, I have noticed the gap. I’m rating this based on the entry level and not guitars as a whole. It’s laminated wood so you’re not going to get a real full sound but it sounds great for a new player. Action was good right out of the box and it’s a nice sized guitar as well. Highly recommend for new players. For the price, it’s worth it.

The action and set up was perfect out of the box. All it needed was a fresh set of strings. Great sound unplugged and through an amp. Very comfortable body style. First dreadnought I have played that doesn’t make my shoulder sore. This is a great deal for a guitar and Hardcase combo. I’m very satisfied with this guitar looks and plays like it cost a lot more.

I purchased guitar because the deal was too good to pass up, for the price point you will not find a nicer guitar, mine came in near perfect, absolutely nothing to complain about, this thing sounds, and plays wonderful, you will be pleasantly surprised if you purchase one of these, this guitar is good for so many applications from beginner to experienced player . I was looking for something to alternate with my other guitars, but this one has become one of my favorites. I play it every day.

I just cannot believe this guitar!
Fresh out of the box, I tuned it and started going up and down the fretboard with great tone.... Guitar is very well set..... I have been playing/performing since 1966, and must say that I'm very pleased with the J15 and recommended to all stages of players from beginners to advanced!

So, the delivery was superb. A hefty case with papers of authentication. That nice smell of new instruments like taking a new car off the lot. The sounds is crisp. Great for beginners due to the tuning tools on the side and easy to visually understand.
Thank AMS for this bueat.
Not a guitar player but self learning and helps alot that I can plug into my computer and silently record my practice session.

As with most Epiphones, it arrived badly set up or rather not set up at all. After making the appropriate adjustments it plays well. Guitar sounds best amplified as plywood guitars have no natural tone. It's a good starter guitar.

I had heard the 2020 Epiphones were solid guitars. For $300 I figured it was worth the risk. And it comes with a hard shell case! The guitar is beautiful, sounds great dry, amazing amplified with effects, and plays smooth. Can’t beat the value for the price. It’s an excellent knock-around acoustic.

Bought this as a gift for friend. I think many of us just don’t get how well made these low priced Chinese made guitars are. Stays in tune when played hard. great projection, just short of boomy. Made from real wood. No fret sprout, well cut nut. Intonation was near perfect ( low e couple cents sharp.) Fishman system works better than ANYTHING that you’d expect to find in a 300$ guitar and it comes with a perfectly adequate hard shell case. I’d tell you this was a 500-700 guitar all day long. Best thing. I ordered 7:30 on Friday. It was on my porch 10am Saturday!! I couldn’t be more impressed with guitar or the fastest FREE shipping I’ve ever received. LOL

Love the Epiphone Guitars. Purchased this one to replace one that I used to own. I haven't plugged into it yet.....but the straight acoustic has beautiful tone. I may try different sets of strings......but other than that, a fine quality product. Looking forward to adding accessories in the near future ! Can't beat the price for as good a guitar as it is !

It was set up nice except the battery was sticking out of the compartment and the battery clip was broken and cracked. I immediately sent it back and had a replacement in 2 days. The hard shell case is worth the price of the guitar alone. The tuner works great and it sounds bright. Great acoustic at an affordable price.

I am totally impressed with how beautiful this guitar looks and sounds. Out the box the intonation was perfect and it came with a epiphone hard shell case. For the price it’s well worth it. I’ve owned High end acoustic guitars that I paid allot more that play and sound every bit as good as this Epiphone. Epiphone got it right with their acoustic and Electric guitars. I gig out with them and never let me down.

I have two Masterbuilts, and this guitar is pretty close in by of quality and playability. Epiphone acoustics are on par with guitars costing 3x the price, and are great for beginners and intermediate players (like me)

I have to say this is an amazing guitar. I have been playing for a long time and wanted to replace my OLD Yamaha with a new hollow body. I actually ordered the Martin DX1AE, and when it arrived and I played the guitar, the action was not good at all and the acoustic sound was dead. I was so disappointed so I sent it back.I have the Epiphone simi hollow body so I looked at the Epiphone electric hollow body and decided on the AJ21OCE. After it arrived opened it up , such a beautiful product. It was tuned , I played it and the action and sound was amazing.this is truly a fine instrument. Thanks AMS, another great job and will continue to order from you.

I ordered this guitar for a backup guitar. I took it out of its case, tuned it up and started playing some songs.
WOW, I fell in love with it. The guitar was setup at
the factory and the strings were at just right level.
I pick a lot of Bluegrass and I had no problem picking
up & down the neck. I have several instruments, Now this
Guitar is my first choice. I would have gave this guitar
a 100 on STARS but I only had 5 to mark. I would recommend
this Guitar to anyone looking for a great guitar.

I always wanted an Epiphone, never could afford one, thank you for making it possible. Quality is good, not great, convenient with the built-in tuner, case and more. You don't have to wait long, very fast delivery. I grew up with single parent six children, we never could afford instruments, now one does not have to miss out on their creativity with AMS

For the money...great guitar! I bought it cuz my GF works at home, and plugging in the Gibson into my Marshall just isn’t conducive to her making phone calls. Anyway, guitar was great right outta the box...action was perfect for me, and the thing sounds GREAT thru the Marshall (when GF isn’t home). Construction materials seem solid and the case it comes w is top notch. Highly recommend!!!

I start with this. I hardly leave reviews for products, thought I constantly am in search of them when browsing for a new purchase. I’ve never been an Epiphone guy being someone who owns a Taylor, Gibson J45, a Gibson Humingbird and a Fender custom Acosutic - Electric. But I saw this guitar as the less expensive equal to the J45 and absolutely loved the color and tone of it. I figured the price it won’t be a bad guitar, and Gibson does own Epiphone now. I tell you this. Not only did I enjoy this guitar so much, that it made its way into my line up on the road at our shows. The action was set low when I received it but when I adjusted it just right, the onboard pick up, narrow sound hole and the lithium battery support over the traditional 9volt, were simple but noticeable Benifits. By adding top notch stage strings and an enhanced pickup, this guitar has great tone with great durability. For a great price and condition, AMS did a great job here. I’m a continues buyer no doubt!

I feel like they priced this wrong. 300 bucks and it comes with a real Epiphone Hard Shell Case? Sold. When the guitar arrived it was already close to being in tune. The mahogany on the back and sides is gorgeous, the pictures here don"t do it justice. The natural top is as expected. The tone I get out of it is deep, about what I"d expect of a cheaper model Taylor, and that's without changing the strings it comes set up with.
