I know catchy 60s slang but this guitar captures the sounds of early Beatles. I love playing it as the neck fits comfortably in the hand all the way up. I sold my PRS to buy this. No regrets at all.

Nice kit guitar
By: The Singing Blue Rose
Submitted: 5/4/2023
Product Review
I've had my worn black Casino about 6 weeks and in that time the cross threaded output jack finally broke and the pickup selector switch quit working properly. The cheap pots have no fade to speak of until you hit about 7 then you get a jump in volume like you activated a boost pedal. Other than the powerful P90s being nice and jangly the harness and especially the components build is crap. So what your doing if you buy this guitar is investing in a Casino kit guitar pre finished with a cheap flat paint that you will need to buy or build a new wiring harness for with upgraded components. While your at it you might as well do a proper refinish unless you do like the cheesy open pored flat.

This is my first hollow body guitar and it's also my first dog-ear P90 guitar. I own several Epiphones and-- as much as I love them-- I typically hate their pickups. This guitar is an unexpected exception-- it is the only Epiphone that, to my ears, sounds great completely stock. It's very playable with a thin, but not enemic, neck; it's acoustically louder than most electric guitars, so late night practice without an amp is a little more enjoyable for me. It also looks great in person (I have it in worn ebony with a beautiful cream binding). Highly recommended.

I absolutely love this casino I actually own one of the standard casinos, and I think the sound and playability of this one is on par or even better… it is slightly more narrow at the neck, but that is no problem… pick up sound great and electronics are high-quality… I did end up replacing the tuners, but not because they were bad. I am just lazy and like to have locking tuners. Overall fantastic deal

I had a Gibson 330 back in the 70’s this guitar is everything I remember about that guitar. I couldn’t believe I could order a guitar online and have it in my hand the next day but I did. AMS is an amazing company. After a quick setup, took about two minutes, I have the equivalent of my 330 again and I’m happy guy. Thank you AMS for having a business plan that actually helps musicians fulfill their dreams and needs.

I've thing I kept hearing people talk about is the color, it sucks. I got blue, it's two toned and off putting, but it photographs beautifully. The guitar I got the frets we're all crazily sharp and couldn't get it intonated, figuring its just something weird too it to a pro, he got it intonated but barely and said this was one of those guitars you should of have never let leave the factory. Haha.
Ooh and it's sooo light it feels like a toy. Those p90 pickups sure sound good though.

I bought the worn ebony Casino in May 2022. Always wanted one since I had to sell my 61 reissue Casino due to medical needs several years ago. My new guitar is better! And it was half the cost. My new Casino is my favorite guitar among my seven. These pickups are special. My guitar sounds fantastic. The other great thing is the fabulous neck on it. So many necks are too chunky for me but this Casino is perfect. A fantastic guitar and I plan to buy another! Don't let these cool Casino guitars with unique finishes getaway. They really are special. There is not a single thing I don't like about this guitar. And the finish is the coolest ever! Exceeded my expectations.

Don't let the "Worn" finish fool you. This is the same Casino as always, with a great looking thin finish for much less than the regular models go for. This is no-brainer! The neck is nice and smooth with that worn-in feel ready to go. That classic p-90 tone is all there. Great jangly clean tones that can scream with attitude when pushed. Other than a simple set up, this guitar came ready to rock right out of the box. Highly recommended!

Product Review
This might be the prettiest guitar I've ever seen.
It's not a royal blue, but more of a cornflower if you ever had a 64 crayon set of Crayolas. It's a satin finish, so its neck is very comfortable, and although I haven't weighed it, seems like it's less than 7 pounds.
After I got done staring at it, I thought I'd take it for a drive. The P-90s are punchy and full, and a better call than humbuckers would be in this kind of hollow body guitar.
It will do rockabilly, the Beatles Revolver sounds, and will even get dirty, you can lean it up against the speaker and play with the feedback if you want.
Color me pleasantly surprised and happily blue.

2020 Casino Worn Review -- a nice guitar, good value
By: Jeff

Product Review
Since there are older reviews for different Casinos, I will make clear this is for the 2020 Epiphone Casino Worn with Olive Drab finish. The guitar is a full size Casino with all the Casino electronics; it is $200 cheaper due to the satin finish. And while it is still a full throttle Casino at that price point (more on that in a sec), that leads to my one dislike of the guitar. I have several Gibson satin finishes, which all feel like I am directly grabbing solid wood. This satin finish on the Casino, though it looks great at a distance, looks a little cheap up close (especially on the back where there are what appear to be small finish flaws but which are just the grain showing through the finish) and it feels like a plastic toy guitar in your hands. That is the one real negative to me. Otherwise..... The guitar came with action just as I like it and the intonation was fine. The pickups though, were the best surprise. The sound on this is a beast. It is resonant, very loud without amplification to the point you could in a small group setting in a pinch get by with it in place of an acoustic. But the P-90s -- it was easy for me to get a Pete Townsend sound with a little fiddling with the gain and EQ on the amp. For $450, the actual sound on this guitar is amazing. If you were listening at a distance to someone play it, you'd never know it was a cheap guitar. So as long as you are more interested in sound than feel, this is a winner. If you need to enjoy the feel of the guitar while you play it, you might be a bit disappointed.

Product Review
I'm really enjoying this guitar. I've played it everyday since receiving it earlier this month. The hollow body paired with the P-90 pickups produce some very nice open tones. As expected with guitars in this price range some minor action and intonation adjustments were necessary. The one quality control issue was that both ends of nearly every fret have sharp edges and will require filing.

Happy with my COVID-19 Orange Epiphone Casino

Product Review
What are you supposed to do with your Covid-19 economic stimulus money? STIMULATE THE ECONOMY. So I decided to by something that I absolutely did not need. An orange guitar. Google steered me to AMS and AMS did everything right. Easy ordering, gave me a discount and shipped it as promised. (FedEx didn't deliver it the next day as promised).
Now for the review of the Casino. It was dirty, and not in a good way. The fretboard was disgusting. The screws on the truss-rod cover were put in cruoked. That can't be fixed without using wood-filler, so it's going to stay like that. The bridge rattled because the intonation screws and string rest are not machined properly, but a little teflon tape fixed that. I thought I was going to take off the pickguard until I saw the paint job underneith. Black overspray from the F hole on the top. All of those issues are, however insignificant. The guitar plays and sounds so good that there's no way I am parting with it. The P90's sound incredible, clean or dirty. The action is easy to get low. The neck is bigger, and more C shaped than my other guitars, but it feels good. And the controls are better than those on my Custom 24. So, if you are looking at getting a Casino, I highly recommend AMS. Count on slow delivery, and don't expect the guitar to be immaculate. The sound and playability make the negatives easy to overlook.

Product Review
I purchased this guitar mainly to get a different sound then the guitars I already own, those being a couple of Gibsons, a Les Paul and a '68 SG style Melody Maker with Bill Lawrence single coils, as well as a Schecter Strat type. The tone of this Casino is more subdued, which I was looking for, but still can growl. I absolutely love the body color. The finish seems perfect at this time, the neck feels very comfortable. I had to change the strings and clean the fretboard, my fingers were black after playing for a while, but now it's fine. The guitar was produced in 2018, so I would imagine that's what the dirt buildup was from. I had to return the first guitar AMS sent out due to a small crack in the body by the neck pickup screw. I received the new one in a few days, and so far I love it. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and I am very glad I chose the hollow-body Casino over some other semi-hollow body models. I would definitely recommend this guitar to anyone who wants a little more versatility towards blues/jazz besides rock.

After receiving a Casino that must have made it past the Gibson Quality control undetected. I received the 2nd Guitar promptly. I've had the Casino for about 2 weeks. It was packed very well. The guitar feels real good! Easy to play out of the box. The pickups and pickup switch are not the greatest but useable. I don't usually buy guitars online but this turned out to be a good purchase. Can't wait to have my guy set it up the way i like it. Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly on the first shipment and making the situation painless.

I will say this is a great looking guitar. The Bixby works and sounds great. The pick ups are awesome. But the guitar's setup sucked. I am still trying to get the strings to stop buzzing. Would send it back but have already done to much work on it and I won't let it beat me. First guitar I have had trouble with from AMS. Will buy from them again. Just got a bad one I guess. Have had the guitar for a couple of weeks now trying to get it right. Still may send it back.

I wanted an orange 335 for over a decade. I kept checking around and was about to buy a faded cherry red ES 335 at a local shop. Then I saw this exclusive run Casino P90 at AMS. The most impressive thing to me was the sound of the pick ups; such a smooth and creamy sound. The finish is gorgeous and tonality enhanced by the mahogany neck. I was concerned about the floating bridge, but customer service was excellent to speak with me about my options to maintain a well maintained instrument. This guitar was packed with great care and I already want to make AMS my main supplier. The Casio plays and sounds wonderful. Thanks AMS for your care and service.

I already have a South Korean built Casino from 2005. I've loved playing this guitar since I bought it 14 years ago. I saw this beautiful turquoise color and I figured I'd a try. I of course purchase the matching Epiphone case for it so that it would arrive in pristine condition. The pictures don't do justice to the beauty and build quality of this guitar. Inspectah deck closely before I set it up. I cannot find a single flaw in the Finish or the build quality. I plug it in to my vintage acoustic amp and The Pick of seeing as beautifully as I expected them. For the price of this guitar don't even hesitate to purchase one. It would be four times the price if it were built domestically

Very beautiful turqoise color

Product Review
I bought the turqoise color ,and it's very close to flawless
i'll get to the important stuff the neck is straight and the frets are surprisingly perfect in every way,
the guitar needed very little setup and the nut doesnt bind on the strings -it's cut nice.
these are the new pickups that are wound more like the vintage casinos and they have good depth and sparkle and that p90 growl when you strum hard,
i believe the pickups are a big improvement.
it feels good when you play and is very versatile
can play any style you want.
the turqoise is the best color you can get
cause it looks like a 56 chevy belaire.
i own many guitars and this could possibly be my favorite .
only slight flaw is the paint on the f hole inside edge is a little rough.you have to look hard to see it.
the hollow body resonates like it should.
if you want bang for the buck this is impossible to beat.
