Product Review After going trying multiple string brands and types I landed on the Ernie Ball Cobalts. I use Cobalts on every guitar I own with the exception of one of my Les Pauls which I use the Ernie ball M-Steel ( also made with cobalt). These strings are Brite, higher output and the clarity is great. I've never broken one, even on my Floyd equipped guitars. They also last longer than other strings. I use to change strings every 2 weeks but the cobalt's get changed between 6 to 8 weeks. They could stay on for longer but I'm OCD with my string changes. I've been using cobalt's for 7 years now and I have yet to find a better string. I use 10 to 56 on my 7 string and I use the hybrid cobalt's (9 to 46) on my other guitars. Ernie Ball also backs up their product. I did get a pack of M-Steels that were damaged in shipping and one of the ball ends broke after stringing up a Les Paul. They(Ernie Ball) sent me a new pack of strings that arrived in 2 days. The only thing with cobalt's are that when you first put them on, they feel a bit different to the touch. This goes away after an hour or so of playing and they feel like normal smooth strings.

Product Review I really like the sound, and feel of these strings. They are not the best balanced set out there. But, their tone really pulls them ahead. Very aggressive, and solid tension, recommended!

Product Review I have tried tons of different brands of strings, but I always come back to Ernie Ball! These sound bigger and heavier than the standard ones. They still have the EB slinky feel, but are definitely much more aggressive! If you're into the heavier side of guitar, try these. You won't be disappointed!

Product Review These strings seem to have more bite and attack. Clarity is key here with these things. Very clear on every string. I will buy again for my 7 string guitar. Being tuned low and having the clear voicing come through is pleasant. Thank you

Product Review I’ve been playing for over 3 decades and decided to get a 7 string to add to my rig. Been using Ernie Ball strings on most of my guitars off and on for most of that time. After I made my adjustments and started to riff out I can say I was very satisfied with the feel/tonal response of the strings. They’re perfect for tuning down and maintaining the necessary tension. Overall I’m satisfied with them, but might experiment with different gauges and maybe different brands in the future.
