Product Rating Product Review I had been trying to find the right fuzz for a while. I tried the Behringer Super Fuzz. I tried a couple other fuzzes as well. None of them really did it for me. They sounded thin and like a layer of fuzz was added on top of my tone instead of being a part of the tone. This pedal is different beast. It sounds large. It can be easily tamed. It, also, can adjusted to meet different genres. I play in a covers band and in an alternative rock band and this pedal works for both - across guitar and bass. Highly recommend!

Versitle and musical fuzz/muff

Product Review This sounds like a cross between a muff and a more vintage fuzz. I love the sound and you can really dial in anything you need with the shift and tone knobs. I'm not sure if this pedal sounds exactly like the muff it was derived from but I don't care, the sound is very musical and usable. I like the sound of this better than their Hizumitas.

Product Review I spent a lot of time listening to easily 30 different fuzz pedals from a vintage Maestro and Fuzz Face to a long list of British clones and various "muff" versions. Each has it's place, depending on the player and the type of song. The Earthquaker hybrid approach (germanium and silicon) is well-balanced and versatile. It has a nice tonal range that produces subtle boosts, gripping overdrive and growling deep fuzz that I really like. I prefer to use it with humbucks.

Product Review This pedal works great for my bass. It has just the right amount of big pp fuzz while still hearing the chord being played.

Product Review My original green Sovtec Big Muff Fuzz started giving me problems, so I decided to grab one of the most talked about modern recreations of the pedal. Personally, I've had problems dialing in the Hoof to match those vintage muffy tones I could get out of my Sovtec, but the Hoof is still one of the greatest modern fuzzes available. Just need some more bonding time and I'm sure I'll be able to tame this beast.
