Product Rating Product Review This is the best sounding/feeling Les Paul style guitar that I’ve ever played. The LTD wasn’t originally on my radar, but I couldn’t pass it up once I saw that Amber Burst finish. AMS got it to me the next day and I haven’t stopped playing it for the last two weeks. Fit and finish are outstanding, plays beautifully right out of the box, and it just hits all the marks for me. For the money, this is an absolute beast of a guitar and I would definitely recommend this to others. Shout out to AMS for having such appealing payment plan options and for shipping so quickly.

Product Review I have recorded videos of the ec1000 and a gibson les paul custom classic. When mixing the video almost the same amount of eq work with the exception of the Ltd has a little more midrange boost, and Thats because the pickups. Its much easier to gig a guitar that is much lighter then the Gibson..if u wanna hear a sample (YouTube.com/therobertherbchase)

Product Review I have owned 4 of these guitars...2 of which I still have. I'm about to buy another one. I've been playing guitar for 16 years, have owned about 30 guitars and played hundreds. This is by far the best guitar I've ever played. My buddies think I'm crazy when I say that it's better then a Gibson Les Paul in every way. The playability, the sound the ergonomics, everything about it is a win!! I love the Emg pickups and swear by them over any other pickups, but the guitar itself is capable of anything!

Product Review Recently bought an ESP LTD Deluxe EC1000 and the guitar has exceeded expectations, My band plays all original hard rock music and this guitar delivers the goods, Easy to play and stays in tune better than my Les Paul, Great looking guitar and the tone blends great with my Dual Rectifier. I have found no faults with the instrument and highly recommend it. The buying process was easy and received my guitar the day after I ordered it, Salesman was very knowledgeable as well which made for a pleasurable experience.

Product Review I owned this same model guitar years ago and regretted selling it. Finally got to a point in life with the extra cash to get one again and I will be honest at first I was concerned about ordering a guitar online. Not being able to truly feel the weight balance, the neck smoothness, and other things many of us look at when buying one locally from a store of some kind. Never mind the terror of “OMG what is the neck gonna be like when it gets here?” HOWEVER. The guitar was packaged very well. No damage or bow in the neck and literally right out of the box I was able to tune it right up and let her rip. The guitar immediatly reminded me of why I owned one years prior. The quality of the finish and body work is still great, the guitar is still comfortable and not too heavy, and most of all it just screams through your amp. Certainly one of the most underappreciated guitars out there in my opinion. Try one out and you will not regret it!

Product Review The guitar is a five, however the condition it arrived in is a three. The neck p/u volume knob came off, the intonation was almost nonexistant, the case, purchased at the same time, has two noticeable blemishes. Once I took care of the problems, the guitar became as I hoped it would. That is, the extremely versatile p/u's range from hard-rock & metal tones to a jazz box. All one must do is adjust one's amp and use the guitar's volume/tone knobs to produce the aforementioned tones(without using pedals). In addition, the EC/1000 stays in tune. The neck is very comfortable/playable and feels good from day one. I also added strap locks, an easy mod. I've never been one to concern myself with a guitars weight, but the EC/1000 is light enough to play all night. Another plus, it looks as good as it sounds. All in all I'm happy I purchased the guitar.

Your general opinion of this product. Excellent quality. I've owned Les Paul's pretty much all my life. I've heard about ESP's being a good guitar and wanted to try on for myself. I don't think I'll be buying any more Les Paul's Well made product. Unfortunately the guitar did not come set up or anywhere close to being set up, which had me concerned initially. After getting the guitar set up however, what a great instrument it is!!! Fast playing, great sounding with excellent sustain

I think this could very easy be in the 2000.00 price range ... The feel of this is very much like a Les Paul. Pick ups are super hot and on point . I have every time I take this to the music store the guys are crazy over the paint finish this thing has. The action was unreal I didnt have to make any adjustmnents.

well,it is made in Korea, which i don't much care for and coincidently have removed that sticker, but has all the high-end components and materials as guitars that cost 3x more to soon for an accurate review, just got recently Your general opinion of this product. already own an ESP-a KH-202 and with my new edition-an EC-1000 LTD,guess that makes me an ESP believer feels well balanced- it feels almost as good as my woman to hold.controls are positioned for easy access all of the above.,PLUS-sustain,harmonics to last a lifetime it was a scratch and dent purchase:i loved the paintjob "silver sunburst" from day one and when first received did not see the blemish thus scratch and dent doable but after the tech set my intonation and action it darn near plays itself

The esp ec1000 has very nice quality. The neck is nice and thin for maximum playabilty. Thinner then gibson style les pauls. Gives more easy and playabilty for your fretting hand. The locking tuners make string change easy and hold up the guitars tuning really well. Esp quality by far one of the best in my opinion. Hasn't broke yet. Your general opinion of this product. This guitar is absolutley beast! Nice playable thin neck. It's just perfect. I run my guitar through a high gain peavey 6534 amp. The tone is thick and hot. It's perfect for metal. The cleans on the guitar is ok. Considering they are emg loaded. I got the original black. The finish on ec1000 for all of them all look nice. The abalone binding and flag frets make the guitar stand out sexy! A total eye catcher the first time I saw the guitar. The truss rod needed to be just slightly tightned. The action was low out of the box the way i like it. It was good.

Im a very agressive person with my guitars. When Im playing I play hard. I will do neck bends as hard and as far as I can and this will still stay in tune. Doesnt happen often. I have had this guitar for over a year. And as said above, I am a very agressive person. After I got this guitar set up to my likings. I dropped it on the ground on purpose. I toss everything around. Not due to lack of care. But if it cannot last with me on a stage/tour, then when am I buying it? It must be rugged, durrible, and still sound amazing. And this is it. (Once it passed my reliability test she is well papmered now) Your general opinion of this product. Over all this is probably my most favorite guitar out of my arsenal. I have had MANY many guitars, and this is by far my favorite. The size, weight, and comfort is unable to be found anywhere else. I have used LTD/ESP for almost 10 years now. And there is a reason why. I love the feeling all around. Its got a good heavy feel to it, but it isnt a back breaker. The neck is great. I own an Alexi Sig, and it it a little smaller than that. Nice, smooth feeling. The controlls are a little more than I want. But what I do like, is that I turnt he tone knob all the way up, the second volume knob all the way off. And the first volume up. From there I use the pick up selector to run off and on since I only use the bridge pick up anyways. And its not as fast as a Wizard 2 (my fav shreading neck) but it is pretty fast. I have little hands, so it work out for me. And I still get a good "chug" out of it for the heavys. Tone is very smooth. Which I like alot. I dont like the happy look at my sound. I normally run medium mids, and High trebs, and they just intwine perfect. As I said earlier. LTD/ESP have me by axe of choise for almosy 10 years (2nd would be Ibanez) and I have never turned my back on these guys. Nor will I ever. I like the paint job. I am not going to lie. Im not one for Fancy paitjobs. I wanted the silver sunburst but they were out. I dont know exactly what paint job that I have on it, I just ordered the next one over. Again, I am not one for pretty. I want quality. But it did impress me. Action out of the box was nice. I dropped it just a little more (like a 32nd of an inch) beacuse I had the gut feeling to. But out the box its not to low for buzzing, but it is low enough that your not straining your hands.

In my opinion, you could gig with this guitar. Very well built. Your general opinion of this product. After several days of shopping and comparing guitars the EC-1000 really stood out to me. The overall quality is awesome for its price. The guitar needed very little adjustment right out of the box. I mostly play sitting down so I don't notice the weight. I like the thickness compared to other guitars and the neck feels perfect to me. The EMG pickups are hot especially with the volume cranked up. I bought the gloss black and it was perfect. Although it does have the abalone trim which wasn't clear in the picture.

I've had this guitar for over four years, played many shows with it, and never had any problems. Your general opinion of this product. Personally, I would take this guitar over any other guitar, any day. A little on the heavy side, the neck is pretty thin, plays very fast. Pretty versatile tone, I use it for metal, but it sounds great on clean setting as well. Very nice. Perfect.

The only thing I dont like is you need a philips screwdriver to open the battery compartment. I've only had it about 6 months but its built very well. With the earvana compensated nut theres no need to strobe tune this guitar. I like how its in tune perfectly at every fret. Your general opinion of this product. I have 7 guitars and this one is the best so far. My gibson lp pales in comparison to the quality and tone of my esp. Surprisingly light compared to a LP. The neck is fast and smooth. I love the tuners very convenient. You can get almost any tone you want out of this guitar. It has a thick chunky sound. If you like a single coil sound go buy a strat. this guitar was made for shredding. I got the black cherry finish. It has to be seen to be truly appreciated. The whole body neck and headstock have abolone trim that makes everyone ask where I got it. Just beautiful. The action was quite high out of the box, but a few truss rod adjustments and it was pretty good.

over all I think these are probabley bad in about 1 out of 100. faulty electronics not caught in the quality assurance checks. This is where I have to ding the ltd line. I have 2 of these guitars. My son also has one. I recieved one brand new that had bad electronics. Specificly the cheap toggle switch. At first I thought it was a bad emg, but that turned out not to be. Cheap electronics on the Ltd line. Sent it back for an exchange. Your general opinion of this product. This is a good alternative to a real ESP eclipse. great neck, somewhat heavy, the thinner body would make you think lighter right ? not by much. great tone, dark sinister, emgs baby ! excellant finish great action, low and the intonation was also spot on.

This instrument is total quality from top to bottom. This axe is built to last at home or on the stage. Very playable axe. Makes a Les Paul feel like a piece of heavy tmber. This axe was built for speed. The neck is perfect for quick passages. The tone is dark and the pick ups are hot. The EMG 81/60 is hands down the best combo out there for hard rock/metal. Paint job was flawless gloss black! The action was set perfectly right out of the box.

Seems made well to me. Can't claim to be an expert, but I can't find a flaw. Have only had it for about a month. Fresh set of strings and one broke about an hour into a set. But I still need to get it set up. Your general opinion of this product. Awesome guitar, One of the best guitars in its price range. Your general opinion of this product. Ive been playing for four years and this by far is the best guitar i have ever owned. Very light guitar. Because of the way I play, I had to lower the neck piokup to make room for my picking, but it's no big deal to me because only use the bridge pup anyway. Tone is that of any EMG81. All sound pretty much the same to me. GREAT! Got the Silver sunburst. Fairly good, but I need any guitar I play to be setup perfect. The action was a bit high.

The Eclipse

This guitar is a tank. Very dependable, highly recommended. I have had this guitar for over 2 years now. I've gigged with it, taken it around with me, dropped it, hit it, I've done just about everything imaginable to it, and the thing still stands strong. Definitely my go to guitar for just about everything I play. From blues to death metal. Your general opinion of this product. ESP has made great quality products for several years. The ESP LTD EC-1000 is top of the line. It feels great, the tone is killer, and is reliable from the time you have opened it's box. I've owned Gibson Les Pauls, and the guitar blows it out of the water. I can assure you that the LTD Deluxe model is just as reliable as the ESP Custom, for much cheaper. The guitar has pretty much the standard Les Paul shape, yet it's about half as wide. It feels great, I would like to go on record saying that ESP has perfected the Les Paul, for much cheaper (yes, I am strongly anti-Gibson now). It, overall, is relatively light. It feels ever so smooth. The neck is awesome, and is a shredders dream, yet it's comfortable enough to play anything soft on. The controls are very well set up and very dependable. Bright and smooth when it needs to be, but dark and brutal when it should be. Overall, the tone is sick. The EMG's are great, however I am seriously considering switching them out with Seymour Duncan Blackout's. It would probably make this guitar all the better. When I purchased it there was a small blemish on the tip, but nothing too noticeable. I waited around to see if I could exchange it for another one, but the only ones they had in were the see thru-blue, green, and red and I really wanted to keep my black. There have been some flaws with the black on the backside; for some reason my paint decided to chip away in a section. But as I said, it was only in a small area and on the back side, so it wasn't noticeable to my viewers. The action was awesome. It was pre-set up as I bought it from a local music shop (and I am friends with the owner). The action was low and awesome, with no fret buzz. They let me play another one fresh out of the box and it was just about the same. After all this time I still have yet to have to re-adjust the truss rod *knocks on wood so it won't happen soon*.

Very well made. Love the Inlays and the Ebony Fretboard. Had it for about 2 months but know it will last a long while. Your general opinion of this product. Nice Guitar. Bought one for $841 from XXXX. Did not really like the Tone Pros bridge that much. Sometimes this guitar needs tuning too often. Very chunky with the Active EMG-S. Very fast neck and playability. Controls are very well placed. Dark and smooth but can also be bright and snappy. The vintage black was an awesome color. Horrible and high.

I bet this would be a great road-worthy guitar, it holds up well, For the price you pay, you are getting a very good guitar. Had it for a few weeks now but I baby my guitars, I see a lot of artists with this model touring so I guess it would be alright. Your general opinion of this product. I feel this guitar is good but could be better. The newer ESP's feel a little "cheap" compared to some of the older ones. This EC has some neck-dive but your picking arm rests on the body to compensate for it. This is one of my biggest pet peeves. Otherwise it is a nice guitar, good pickups, plays great and looks killer. Plays smooth. The thing I like most about ESP's are their necks. Totally can shred on these. I wish the guitar was a little heavier though. I have an EC 400 from 2005 that is heavier than this surprisingly. Controls don't get in the way while tremolo picking. Locking Tuners are great and making changing strings cake. EMG's are great for metal so... A few flubs around the edges of the body and headstock, nothing major and certainly not visible unless it is under your nose. Fairly good set up out of the box, replaced the strings w/ a heavier gauge and tuned down to D. No fret buzz or anything like that.

Highest quality I've seen from a foreign manufacturer. This looks and plays like a Gibson Les Paul Studio model. Without the extra weight. I've had my Custom Model Jackson for 15 years. I just purchased and played my first show with the EC1000. This guitar is built to last, with maintenance and care. Your general opinion of this product. As a Jackson player for 20 years, I needed a new back up. After doing my homework and lots of shopping around, I discovered the EC1000. I purchased a "dent and scratch" model, which saved me a couple hundred bucks. Couldn't find a blemish on it. Good looks, easy playability, and pro tone. A super fast neck, with a light enough body to play the roughest shows with no fatigue. Controls, I'm just getting used too. This guitar will work for me, not against. All of the above. The EMG's are incredible. Raw, clean power at high volume with no noise. If your a pro or semi pro player looking for a mid-priced instrument, take a look at the EC1000. Excellent looks and in lays on this guitar. Beautiful to look at, fantastic to play. The action and intonation were almost perfect out of the box, however, I did take it in for a set up. Strap locks and new battery installed. This guitar is almost scary in how easy it is to play. With a pro set up, tuning problems are none existent, and harmonics ring out.

Very well made guitar. It is assembely line made unlike the high end ESPs but you can't beat it for the price. Great detail on the neck and body. Excellent pick ups. Locking tuners are nice and easy to opperate. Just got it so no time test, I have owned several guitars over the last 20 years and I'm positive this guitar will last forever with proper care like any instrument. Your general opinion of this product. You can't beat this guitar in this price range! It sounds excellent clean & distorted. Plays very nice and is light enough to get through any gig. My only beef is that it didn't come with a case and I need to install strap locks. Feels solid, the neck is perfect! I prefer a painted neck and jumbo frets. The controls are well placed and simple. The EMG 60 at the neck sounds amazing clean, one of the best I've played. The EMG 81 has been a standard in all of my guitars and I'm very happy it came standard. Excellent tone, you can tell it is well made when you play it! Very nice finish and easy to maintain. Needed some adjustments out of the box, since it traveled all over the country with climate changes etc it had a little fret buzz. Nothing a good guitar tech can't fix in 15 minutes.

Metal Mayhem

Built very solid, but yet it is light and doesn't break your back to play it for extended periods of time. The vintage black is sick and I am confident that it will hold up for many years to come. This is my primary guitar, it has never given me any problems, and it stays in tune under heavy playing. Your general opinion of this product. If you want a quality guitar for a reasonable price then this is your guitar. It can play a wide range of music, the neck is perfect, out of the box it was awesome. The string gauge stock is a little to light for my liking, but that is a easy fix. If you want something similar to a Gibson with the EMG pickups, but don't want to shell out $2000.00 then get this ESP. Very thin body, thin neck, but feels like a solid build. Design is great easy to play. Their EMG's!!! If you haven't played on them then you need to. Especially if you play metal, this thing is a beast. The bridge pickup is hot as hell when distorted, and the neck pickup is warm and mellow in both clean and distortion. I got the vintage black and it looks sick, it's more like a primer black look, the gold hardware really sets this guitar off. It stands out strong on stage. This guitar was set up perfectly out of the box. The only problem I had was the string gauge, but most guitars have fairly small gauged strings out of the box.

Top quality, great parts and built solid. In my glorious stupor I have already banged this up a bit, dropped it while attempting to multitask. It has survived a nice 4 foot drop with only a dent as damage. Your general opinion of this product. Other then it being a few days late getting here, this instrument is perfect, the intonation was remarkably accurate with need to mess with the truss rod. This instrument is extremely comfortable and plays beautifully. It has some nice chunk to it and has great sound for sweeps and all the other fancy technique. The pickups are hot, and sound great. It looks much better when you have it in your hands, then any picture can give. I was rather surprised when everything was just as it should be when it arrived. Even after putting on lower gauge strings it stayed right on.

This beast will never die, never quit and never stop shredding. Even though it's made in Korea it's quality is outstanding. I bought this because I wanted and ESP Eclipse but I couldn't justify spending that much money when I could get this (which is pretty much identical) So I did and I wasn't in the least bit sorry. My friend, who's funds were free to be blown, bought the eclipse instead, and not that it's a bad guitar, but he was sorry he spent that much money on a price doubled duplicate. When I first played this guitar, I noticed the EMGs were extremely week and muddy. and the strings kept going out of tune which made my stomach churn because I thought I had just wasted almost 900 bucks. Well I opened the battery compartment and the 9volt was the same one from Korea! So I threw a new one in there and slapped some Ernie Ball heavy bottoms on it and I don't need to tune it but once a week. Not to mention the pickups can sustain until the apocalypse! Your general opinion of this product. I think the only guitar that I would NEED (of course tons of other will catch my eye) is a Gibson american made LP. Other than that this guitar suits me just fine. ESP did a great job (even though they were a little redundant in making three of the same guitars at different prices) Oh my word. Out of the box the action was almost perfect (a little adjusting was in order) This guitar is perfect for beastly, heavy, powerful metal. Bone crushing rhythm and searing leads tumble off your fingers as you play this monster. In my opinion, in most guitars the tone comes 25% from your fingers, 25% from the pickups and 50% from the amp. In this case the tone came all from someplace deeper and darker than I had ever seen/heard before. It can produce the most epic, thick, heavy tone you've ever hear. From "beating-the-crap-out-of-you" tone to so heavy the roof caves in, this axe has it all and will make any amp sound great. Well I gave it a 4 on finnish because I got mine in Satin Black with the gold binding, vintage black I believe. Anyway, after about 5-6 months of playing (since there's no pick guard) there is some nasty pick rash under the EMGs. But other than that this axe has really no flaws. Well, I think I already said but I'll say again. Out of the box the action was very nearly perfect. It's very easy to adjust too.

Excellent quality and workmanship. It's several years old now and still no problems. Your general opinion of this product. It's a great guitar at any price. I'm thinking about buying a Duncan 59/JB pickup model too. The set-up was really nice right out of the box, but I recently had it professionally set-up, and now it's amazing. It's a fire breather with the EMG 81/85 pickups. I bought it for my daughter, but I've also played it a lot too. The distortion and overdriven tones are nice, but it really doesn't clean up well. I recently bought a Schecter with Ducan Blackout pickups, and I like them much better. The workmanship is phenomenal. I think it's the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen. It's gloss black with abalone trim...awesome! Very nice low action with no buzz.

the look and feel of this guitar is phenominal, the binding is beautifull very solid craftsmanship, and love the tuners. I've had this guitar for a month now,and I've noticed it's starting to have quite a bit fret buzzing and the ESP locking tuners don't seem to be doing a great job,I love emg p/ups but the ones in my guitar are very unreliable. I took it to my tech and he said they're shorting out. Your general opinion of this product. beautifull guitar, but I'm having nothing but problems all around so I'm returning mine. Awesome Guitar (IF YOUR MUSIC CALLS FOR THIS SOUND!)

By: David Ordonez from Jamaica, New York      Submitted: 4/5/2008

The guitar is built well but light wight. It does not have a built like a tank feeling like the Vipers, this is due to the maple wood that is used to manufacture the EC-100's (Vipers are made of Mahogany a much denser wood then Maple). Since I just picked it up I can't 100% say but I think it will last my life time if cared for, but that goes for most guitars. Your general opinion of this product. The EC-100 is priced well for what you get, any less it would be a steal, any more and it would not be overpriced. The guitar feels good in your hands and lends itself to shreding. Because of the maple it feels a little light and fragile but beleive me it is built well. I always recommend changing the factory strings since you don't know how long they have been on the guitar. OK THE MOST IMPORTANT PART! This is an awesome guitar for THE RIGHT MUSIC. This guitar is meant to play Metal/New Metal/Modern Rock/Gritty Alternative/Some Progressive. In the lead position the EMG 81 gives you razor sharp solos and cut through leads. In the middle position (Both P.U at once) you get a full sound but can still cut through the mix for leads. In the Rythm position the EMG 60 gives you a fat rythem sound but still retains its clarity even with high gain. It has incredible crunch and great sustain when distorted and will give you a good clean sound when need. Understand that you can not get a clean Jazz sound out of this guitar, it wasnt built for it. Also you can not get a Gibson sound out of this guitar because well it isnt a Gibson (That was a joke). The finish is even without any paint runs. The Abalone and white binding is very good for it's price range but not incredible (Remember the price, be resanable). Overall out of the box the guitar comes set up well for the average player. For those of you who are pro's you will need to lower the action just a tad and lock all Tone Pro pieces for better sustain. I had to bring up the pickup hight on the EMG 81 (Bridge) just a tad but not by much. The neck was set up well from the factory with just enough bow to avoid fret buzzing.

Your general opinion of this product. This guitar rules period. With EMG 81's and a fast neck this thing rules for lead. It sounds just as good for rythm as well. And looks awesome and feels perfect. Your general opinion of this product. A great guitar for anyone. The EMG-81's really smoke, with great distortion and super fat bottom end. The neck/body inlays are outstanding, and an added feature that is not in the product description-Schaller locking tuners!! The combination of a 24 fret neck with a 24 3/4 inch scale makes for super fast action, and the weight is about 3lbs. lighter than a Les Paul Classic making it very comfortable to play for long periods of time. If your considering a Les Paul, save yourself a thousand bucks and try the EC-1000, you'll be glad you did.

Your general opinion of this product. I've had just about evry kind of guitar there is and bought this one for kicks. I was amazed how well it played. I use it now instead of my 68 Les Paul custom since it's so light. The appointments are great-it even has the same kind of dark rosewood fingerboard that American guitars had back in the 60's. Note that the black and cherry models have ACTIVE pickups, whereas the sunburst model does,'t.

the only problems i have with this guitar is when i got it, one of the inlays were messed up from shipping (because the warehosue that had the case was sold out) and the highest frets are really hard to play

FEATURES:
i really love the sperzel tune locker things. I hate dealing with floyd rose guitars and I hate tuning all the time, this guitar dosent stay in tune as much as a floyd guitar would but it definately stays in tune way better than any guitar without a floyd. I tune this maybe once a week, and sometimes i dont even do it for a month.

EASE OF USE:
Easy, again the only problem is the highest frets, but most people dont seem to use them a lot anyway
