Product Review
I recently purchased the LTD ec-256 with gold hardware, and I couldn't be happier with my choice! The finish is flawless and the gold hardware adds a certain flair (maybe some elegance?).
It sounds outstanding! The coil-split pickups give a wide range of tones from rich and thick humbuckers to the vibrant twang of single-coils, this guitar really can do it all.
Overall, I am impressed. There isn't a single bad thing I can say about this guitar. I love it. It has become my go to guitar.
I would 100% recommend this guitar to anyone, period.

The Gold hardware on Black stands out great along with the white binding. Playin' it for about 2 weeks now. Pickups sound good, the volume knobs seem in reverse position, but after research, this seems intentional, the bridge pickup used more generally for hard rock, closer to control etc. Action out of the box was pretty good. Quality seems very good for the price.

This guitar covers the entire array of the musical genre spectrum. From metal to rock to blues to jazz to classical. Its lightweight, comfortable, well balanced and has a great fast neck.
Play ready out of the box.
Pickups. Split coil, individually controlled, they offer a true variety of tone. People argue alot about 150s vs 81/85 etc. First test the ones that come preinstalled with your favorite amp and go from there. I was determined to replace mine out of the box, till I actually heard them.
Its inexpensive, it's fun. Pick one up yourself to see what I'm talking about )

Product Review
I just got my black with gold hardware EC256 and couldn't be happier. It came out of the box in pristine condition and 90% in tune. It plays incredibly easy and I haven't taken it for a set up yet. It sounds like any guitar over $1000. It may be an LTD but it has ESP quality all over it. I don't if they are all made in Indonesia like mine was but you can't go wrong with this guitar if you are looking for a value guitar that keeps up with the big boys.

Product Review
This is my second ESP LTD and once again I was not disappointed. Got it in the mail Christmas Eve, took it out the box, and gave it a good looking over. The neck was pretty much perfect out of the box, fret ends looked good, no scratches or cosmetic defects... I was excited. Swapped out the strings for a set of DR's and tuned it up. Next came intonation, only a few tweaks here and there, but it was basically right on the money out of the box. I absolutely love the neck on this thing, so smooth and comfortable. I'm not a shredder, but I do play fast and I can do that with ease on this baby. Tone-wise I'm quite satisfied, the stock pickups sound nice and full and sound great through my modeling/processing. I definitely would recommend this guitar for anyone looking for an upgrade without breaking the bank. As I said at the beginning, this is my second LTD and I have a feeling my next purchase will be one as well. Nothing but smiles over here.

It plays great, never any tuning issues, balance is better than I assumed. Even the esp design pickups are better than expected

This is my first ESP, and i was pleasently surprised. From the finsh to the superior playability. For the money you can't go wrong. As a seasoned player i wasn't expecting much from a $500 guitar. It blew my mind. Hooked to a peavey 5150 the tones were heavenly. Playability is smooth and fast. No buzzing or unwanted fret or bridge noise, just clean thick tone. Very light and cut fir maximum comfort. Hard ware pleasing to the touch, tight and precise. I can't say enough good things about it.

Product Review
I wanted a high end American made guitar this style in white but they don't make them(under3k)and this felt as good as any 1200$ LP. This is my 32nd guitar and very first brand new one, because it's the only new guitar I've ever played in a store and thought was worth the price new. The snow white version I ordered from AMS is even better than the one in the store, the frets are well dressed and it's heavy(like an LP should be) with smooth turning knobs and tuners. Most surprising to me at the pickups, they sound very similar to dimarzio's and I can't justify upgrading because I quite like them.

Product Review
the looks of it are unparalleled and the tone incredible. But like ANY LES PAUL style it's always that damn G string that is difficult to keep in tune. I haven't found the trick, but strings, new tuner, whatever on Les Pauls styles the g string HATES standard tuning. I would love any theories on this friends. I read on-line but can't find the answer well enough.
AS for tone this is the most killer no matter what I play - soft, hard, AC/DC tone, anything is perfect. I ordered a Fender Tele online and I got it with pickup spring bolt undone, I had to intonate it, horrible strings, and I was so disappointed.
This ESP was first gorgeous out of the box, needed zero truss rod adjustments, the pickup height was perfect, and I just love it. I have played alot of axes and I want young'uns to understand (I am "only" 50) that Les Paul style notoriously have something in the length, the tone, whatever, I have been searching for 20 years for the answer, have G String issues. Be patient!!

My boyfriend is a lead singer in a band and plays the guitar as well he has written multiple songs. He loves the ESP and he has one different color so I decided to buy another just so he has a variety because I mean a guy can't have too many guitars can he? Anyways when I told him that he had another Christmas present coming he was overjoyed to add this one to his collection. Thank you American Musical company or the opportunity to buy a guitar on a payment plan.

I was skeptical at first when I bought this guitar. I love ESP guitars and I broke one of my guitars I use for my band. I had two weeks to replace it. I did not have much money for a new one but, I saw this one and thought. Well, let’s give it a try. It is light weight. The action on it is as good as a high end guitar. As in price. I have plenty of guitars I use but, this one is now my favorite.

This is the first guitar I have had in this price range that didn't need the strings replaced immediately. The SIT strings are quality that help give the guitar it's heavy tone.
Just got it but it is a very solid piece.
Your general opinion of this product.
Beautiful guitar. Fit and finish is top notch and the vintage style is buttah!
The neck is slim without feeling cheap. Frets are level and polished nicely. No fret buzz.
Very dark. I can't see wanting to change the pickups anytime soon.
The distressed finish is very well done and not overdone. The pictures don't do it justice. The binding around the headstock is a nice touch.
Action was spot on.

Overall great quality as far as I can tell.
n/a haven't had it long enough.
Your general opinion of this product.
This is an awesome guitar. This thing should really cost much more money.
Plays great. thinner shaped neck. Tall frets.
In humbucker mode the tone leans toward the dark side, but the coil split mode brightens up a lot.
It has a cool worn or vintage look to it, however if you look really close on the side of the neck the paint overlapped the binding a tiny bit. The finish on mine is black satin. Would have been nicer if it was gloss.
Out of the box it had great action and intonation all the way up the neck. Only minor adjustments to get it perfect.

One of the first things I did was change the pickups so I got to see the factory wiring up close and personal. Great job here. No sloppy solders, no paint marks anywhere. Very nicely setup.
I've had the guitar for around a month. I gig it. I drop it. I spill beer on it. It works night after night. So far its very reliable.
Your general opinion of this product.
First time ordering a guitar online which made me nervous and I knew I would have to send it back because I wouldn't like the way it felt. 2 days later I received it in the mail, plugged it in and WOW. Perfect feel right out of the box. I did some adjusting that I do to all my guitars and BAM! I found MY guitar.
Feels similar to a Les Paul, BUT half the weight. A real back saver. Think of a LP that has been turned into a Hot Rod and that's pretty much this guitar. Feels absolutely perfect to me and I have been a strictly Fender man for about 10 years now.
Thin neck. Not as thick as even my strat or Showmaster necks. Feels similar to a LP/SG neck but thinner and much much more comfortable.
With stock pickups - Very middle of the road. Not too hot, thin or too much of any one tone. Bland. the push/pulls help a little, but of course You will NOT get a Strat sound out of anything but a Strat. I had to switch the pickups.
With Duncan JB/'59 - this thing screams but you can hear every little vibration in the scream. Beautiful cleans, not too trebely not too bassy. Well rounded sounding guitar.
I have the Gold Top version. Beautiful. The vintage finish is a little different than the pic but overall this thing is a beauty.
Action is perfect. Let me say that again. The action is perfect.

For $400 this guitar seems very, very well made. Fit and finish are smooth and even. No visible issues that I can speak of... And I gave it a very thorough going over when I got it out of the box.
Again, only had it for a few days.
Your general opinion of this product.
Very nicely appointed for the price.
Neck feels very nice. Guitar has a decent heft to it without being too heavy. Overall seems very comfortable so far.
A touch on the darker side but I feel that it can get to just about anywhere tonewise.
Finish was exactly what I expected. Aged/worn looking in a flat black. Very nice.
Action is a bit high out of the box. But was consistent from string to string. Frets were in good order minus a few spots were the ends were a bit sharp.

Your general opinion of this product.
This guitar looks, plays and sounds great right out of the box.
Feels smooth with easy bends. Neck was pretty straight unlike most other manufacturers.
Can get almost any sound I want. Coil taps a big plus.
Came 1/16" straight across the board. Much better than most high price guitars.

If Your Thinking of Buying an Epiphone LP.. Buy This Instead...
By: Kris. The Jack Leg Guitarist.... from Clarksville, Tennessee
Submitted: 4/12/2009
The Guitar I received was made in Viet Nam... Very Good Construction. Very Nice Satin Finish Cool Looking and Smooth.. Not Sticky.. Tuners are Cheap ESP or Ping... Should Be Replaced.
Only had it for a couple of months, but once I got the Intonation set it stay's in tune well and has Rocked hard Ever Since.
Your general opinion of this product.
This First thing you would want to do with guitar is Replace the Coil Tap Knob. You Can't Get A Grip on It and It is Impossible To pull up.. I put a Chrome one in it's place. Pup's are in line with the Quality of the Guitar and fit it well. If you want EMG's, Buy the EC-1000 Instead..
Very Comfortable. Belly Cutaway is nice and Guitar is Not Too Heavy. Fret's Nicely all the way up the board with no Buzz. I was worried about buying a Set Neck Guitar, but I was Supprised. As I said in the Title.. If you are Going to buy an Epiphone, Buy This Instead.
If you play through a Marshall 100W like I do you will be able to get Every Possible Sound Combination out of this Guitar. If you are a Beginner and have a Small Amp You might Want to Invest in Some Boss Pedals or a Boss GT-3.. Or maybe a Digitech RP3.
I was skeptacle about a Matte Finish, but It is really Cool and the "Wear Spots" make it even Cooler. The neck has a Satin Finish on it so it is really smooth like my Gibson Melody Maker.
O.K. Needed a Pro Set up and Complete Intonation Adjustment. I play with 10's so the strings that were on it had to Come Off...
