Great construction and sound. I like the jumbo frets, they allow me to riff comfortably and hard. Evertune bridge is awesome however if you play it in zone 3 will act as a regular bridge and you will have to tune again after a couple of songs. If you play in zone 2 it will preserve tuning but no bendings will be allowed frp the bridge for you to perform.

The premier modern metal guitar

I had never owned an ESP of my own, much less an LTD up until purchasing this one. So I definitely went in blind for the first time here. Being a more "modern" metal guitarist I decided it was time to try something new and wanted to try my hand at an extended range ax for a change. Upon owning this guitar for a few weeks now, I'm absolutely certain that there isn't a better guitar out there for the price, looks, and playability. The EMG's sound absolutely crushing, the neck is very comfortable with its Thin U profile, and the finish was nearly perfect. For a guitar just under a grand and a half, I was floored. That being said the only minor gripe I have with it is that it didn't come with locking tuners. But the stock Grover tuners can be easily swapped out should you prefer locking tuners. As a matter of fact, I will likely do that soon. However, let me just say that the Evertune bridge is an absolute game-changer in the world of the electric guitar. Heck, it might just be the biggest innovation in guitar hardware since the Floyd Rose locking tremolo system. While it does take a bit of manual reading and minor setup, once you get it set up the way you like it, you won't be touching the tuning keys for quite a while. I absolutely love it. Overall I can't recommend this one enough. If you want a road-worthy, comfortable, and classy-looking ax, then hit up the guys over at AMS and pick one up. You won't be disappointed. - CK

Great guitar

I’ve had this guitar for about 7 months now. The evertune is seriously a game changer. I bought another used guitar since then and realized just how much value the Evertune has. I really don’t have much else to say about it other than it looks and plays great and has reliably served me well with heavy use for 7 months now. A couple nit picks are the finish will collect prints and dust very easily so get a little tool to keep it clean. Also, I find the volume knob to be a little too close to the strings so I bump it pretty often involuntarily knocking the volume down a bit. Big shout out to the The customer service, the initial guitar I bought I really didn’t like at all so I sent it back and got this one. They were beyond accommodating for that. I can take comfort in spending a large amount of money here knowing that. Thanks Ams!

Evertune is a game changer, but not for everyone.

I purchased this guitar roughly a month ago and have waited to do a review until I had fully broken it in, changed strings, and used outside of my bedroom. I have owned 3 evertune equipped guitars prior to this, one of which was the 6 string version of this exact guitar. The evertune is ultimately what sold me on this guitar rather than another 7 string. I knew what I needed and this guitar had what I was looking for. The tuning stability an evertune equipped guitar has is unparalleled and makes them an incredibly valuable tool both for live use and in studio though they can be difficult to wrap your head around if you are not willing to invest the time into learning how they properly work. I had to set this guitar up to meet my needs when it arrived but it has suited me incredibly well since. My only gripe with this guitar is the EMG pickups. While I enjoy the aggressive sound that they have, my ear has grown accustomed to passive pick ups over time and I find myself constantly wanting to swap these out for something more suited to my style. If you are a fan of EMG's then this guitar would be perfect for you. I wish this guitar had locking tuners but even without them, this guitar is a machine capable of handling anything. If you are looking for the ultimate guitar for metal music, look no further. The neck is incredibly fast with great access to the 24th fret. The evertune is a huge highlight for studio use or at home recording as well as live tuning stability. I feel you'll either love or hate the EMG pick ups but that's an easy swap and should not deter you from how truly fantastic of a guitar this is.

This guitar is amazing. The guitar came tuned in B standard and was in tune right out of the box. The weight and feel of the guitar is excellent. As close to an American made as it gets.
