Replaced the snare head on a budget set with the Genera HD Dry Coated Snare Drum Head and wow, it really brought the set to life. Gone are the weird resonance and overtones that I was never able to tune out. This thing sounds amazing out of the box with virtually no tuning. No dampening needed just straight awesome sound. A huge upgrade that makes me comfortable holding on to me low budget kit, lol.

I use this head on my Tama G Maple 13x7 snare. It’s just awesome. Definitely a dryer tone with short sustain, but it seems to go so well with my snare. Plus, it’s super durable. Great for punk, metal, etc. but I’m sure could be used with any style

I’ve always seen and heard how great Evans heads can be. As a huge Jay Weinberg fan I learned he used and even demoed Evans. Got my current Evans as a pack. The snare head is very solid and creates a wonderful tone that I’ve been seeking since being a drummer a decade and a half ago. Now having a steel snare I would like to go the Genera HD Dry Vented Head to cut out the overtone without having to use gels and all. But this Head is amazing period and worth every penny!

G1 clears for my resonant heads lasted 17 years!

For 17 years the original g1 clears lasted as resonants on my kit. I just replaced them with the new 360 version and they definitely fit Better around the whole drum more evenly. The old G1 heads are still in good working order with no major stretching or deterioration. A plus product.

This one is easy, I’ve been using the Genera HD dry on my snare consistently for over 10 years. Everytime I “experiment” with a new head it never gives me “my sound” so I end up immediately going back to the HD Dry. It’s durable and cuts a lot of overtones without muffling.

I use this head on a 5.5x 14 maple snare. Other heads I've always had to use moon gel or tape and bar napkins or combo of all. This head paired with the hazy 300 I don't have to used anything. I play all types of music. Snare sounds great with all. Sounds great live and recorded. Rim shots with knock your hat off.

Gave this head 5 stars because it is very heavy and well made and it does get rid of most all overtones without added dampers(good for heavy rock) but it seems to heavy for fine snare work with light sticks or brushes.
