I got this because they matched the other Evans stuff. They do what they do, protect the head. I will say that of many other patches, you don't hear a distinct difference in sound or tone with these before or after installment.

These nylon kick patches are awesome, used them on this and my old Tama Imperialstar set and loved them. Slow wear for use and I definitely recommend these. Meets all expectations for what I want from a patch.

I was looking for something I could use protect my bass drum head from my beaters because they were leaving dents in the head and busting them way to often. So I shopped around and chose to go with the Evans kick patch. It impressed the neck outta me, to say the least! Not only did it allow me to play without the worry of my head being abused, but it also gave my kick drum a bigger and punchy-er sound! And when I turned my beaters around to the plastic side facing the patch, it added a really cool clicky sound behind the usual deeper punch sound of the kick drum. I will never go without an Evans kick patch again after realizing how much of a benefit it is to have on my kit! Go get one and see for yourself, I promise you will not be disappointed and you will save so much money in the future in drum heads! Don't be shy, go buy!!

I Have and electric Drum Set the Alesis Dm10 MkII all Mesh Heads So Having The Evans Kick Patch is A Must to Protect the mesh Fibers from not being worn down plus putting this patch on your Kick Drum adds more Comfort to playing such a small detail thats really adds to your playing Experience I recommend to all Drummers! Great Quality Aswell!

The Evans patches work well. Using them on my Roland KD-A22 conversion set to protect the mesh. So far so good!

Since I use Evans heads in general I keep the continuity and use their kick patch as well plus it’s durable and increases the life of your head if you’re a heavy hitter.
