Product Rating Product Review This amp is a fire breathing dragon ??. I recently got the Neural DSP Quad Cortex for playing live ( ran with SD power stage 200w and real cab) I was using the 5150 model in the QC, it's awesome and going digital is nice, easier and lightweight. However...I was still looking for more. And the 100w stealth 5150 delivers. I had a 5150 50w before but ended up selling it because I wasn't playing shows (COVID) and couldn't hardly play it at home because it's so loud, and I couldn't stand the hiss when you ain't playing... So I went digital..but that didn't do it for me so I'm back to playing this 100w 5150 and the stealth does sound better than the others in my opinion, il just have to get over the hiss...I mean what else do you expect from a fire breathing dragon ?? lol ??

Product Review The EVH amp is a heavily distorted amp. It gives me everything I could ask for. From the 3 channels to the lead channels. This amp will cover almost every type of music. The construction is excellent, well made. Lastly, I would highly recommend this amp to anyone who plays rock to heavy metal. This amp is a must have! It's awesome!

Product Review This Amp Sound freaking Sick! one of my favorite amps well balanced on Low-end,Mid & highs. added a reverb & Delay on fx-loop. don't need a overdrive pedal on my opinion. the Red Channel has enough freaking gain to make your legs shake like a scarecrow running away from children of the corn & blow your hair out of your ears.

Product Review I've had this amp for about a week and I can already say it's the greatest amp I've ever heard. The green channel gives you some beautiful clean tones if you keep the gain low. The blue channel is great for classic rock and 80s metal. The red channel is insane, it gives you more distortion than you'll ever need! No need for an overdrive or boost. The controls are very simple, there's nothing complicated about this amp. Just plug in and rock!

Product Review The most metal amplifier. Tons of gain with clarity! Probably the most modern sounding 5150. The Blue channel is perfect from rock to metal. Surprisingly also very quiet. Noise floor is perfect for the studio. It’s a big amp, with big sound!

Product Review I’ve played everything from Marshalls to Mesa, Fender to Soldano and everything in between. This is simply the best amp I’ve ever played through. This amp can do it all….and better than the others! American Musical Supply has the absolute best customer service and best prices and payments! On top of all that, you get your very own copy of Edward Van Halen’s personal amplifier. Just wow!

Product Review I’ve always used Peavy 6505 so I thought I’d give this a try. Excellent modern tone. You would do well to to use a tube screamer and boss ns-2 noise suppressor as there are some issues with a ground sound. I would absolutely suggest this amp to anyone wanting that modern metal tone that bites and has great low end as well.

Product Review Everyone knows by now that the 5150's are known for their high gain and crushing tone. Having complete controls for all 3 channles is a huge plus! And the clean tone has evolved on these compared to previous 5150 models. Still has that high gain hiss that you need a noisegate for, but still worth it. Blues, Rock, Thrash, Deathmetal, it really does it all!! Onyl 4 stars, because after all these years, they still can't figure out to get the high gain hiss to go away, like other brands have that have installed internal noisegates.

Product Review I’ve played music pretty much all my life. I’m 45 and I’ve definitely played and owned? on a lot of equipment from a Crate Blue Voodoo, Peavey 5150 block letterhead, JSX series Peavey the Joe Satriani amp. And I have to say that the new 5150 is got a great sound something about the distortion is just a little bit edgier than most out there. I’ve always Heard that? Eddie Van Halen has a little secret he uses to tr?ick out his amps. Over the years he’s really contributed to music creativity. I loved my first Peavey 5150 EVH? great distortion power and scream! And the 5150 iii is another step into that world of great sound. All that said the 5150 iii is NOT an amp I would recommend to a friend or ever buy again!? I have purchase two of the 5150 iii’s amp head?s. The first one makes so much static/microphonic noise that it is unbearable. And it is not the tubes. And I thought to myself maybe I just got a bad one. So I decided to double down and I bought the 5150 iii black head. And if you’ve done your research then you know it’s the one supposedly Eddie Van Halen ?uses live and it’s a little more expensive. ????????? I’ve had the amp for 3 to 4 months and with less then 10 hours on it. I started to notice a little more static noise. I understand these are tube amps and they’re noisy so I didn’t worry about it. Then suddenly there was a big white flash and nothing. That brings us to the owners Manuel. And for the 5150 iii the manual is crap. They couldn’t give you less info. When your paying a few thousand dollars for something you hope the manufacture?would give you some useful info. Maybe the type of fuse or oe tube type. Tell you how to troubleshoot for real. It’s like if you bought a new car? and the manual had no info about what type of oil it required or tire size. ? In my opinion? The best amp out there as far as power reliability is the Triple Rectifier by Mesa Engineering?. Great sound, reliability and made in the USA

Product Review I have owned 30 plus tube amps in the past 35 years and this is my favorite. I have owned this amp for over 6 months now. If you want a great rock to metal to blues sound this is the amp. All 3 channels are voiced perfect for me. The additional gain added to the blue and red channels was a needed mod versus the non stealth model. The added resonance and external bias points put this amp over the top. If there is one feature that would be helpful it would be a master volume. But, a lot of master volumes hurt the tone so I can do without it with the tone this amp gets. This is my keeper for sure.

Product Review After lots of research of amps at this price point , I got the Stealth . However I did retube the head with Mesa Boogie 6L6’s and pre amp tubes made a huge difference on every channel . What I really enjoy about this amp is I can get a really great tone at a lower volume great attack . It’s almost like having three different heads if you know how to EQ each channel and work the volume on that channel , and like I said what tubes you use in this head make a big difference, I know spending another couple hundred dollars on tubes after you just spent a couple thousand dollars on a brand new head is crazy, however the tone I can get out of this amp to my ears is awesome. Run this head through a Bogner 4x12 with vintage 30’s , I replaced the two top speakers with the EVH speakers something like the Friedman cab . Again just a awesome half stack .

Product Review For years the 5150 has shown the world true High Gain - and now the 100S took the name higher. This amp has even bigger headroom which gives you clarity at high volumes while still having the High Gain every player craves. Roaring harmonics and easy functions for tone adjustments. The American musical supply team certainly helped me out with ordering my new favorite amp. Perfect amp and service. Thanks guys!

Product Review The Evh Stealth is a great amp for rock tones with two different quality gain channels I like. The clean channel is actually a good clean tone and will not break up as quickly as a Marshall clean channel will. I find this head versatile & comes with a high qauility midi cable into the foot switch. I recommend this amp to rock & metal players. I bought this amp based on a youtuber by the name of 5150clone & he has the best Stealth tone I've heard online.
